I doubt that even Airmatic will solve the secondary ride problems arising from those thin slivers of rubber. This wheel requires airmatic for sure. Gorgeous tho.

Lovely!
I’m going to make an appointment for a testdrive in an E450d as soon as possible. That’ll probably has airmatic and larger wheels, so we can get an impression of how it‘s drive is.
Imo 19” wheels will offer the best compromise between comfort and driving dynamics, at the same time being aesthetically pleasing.
PS if this car irl looks as good as it does in pictures, well, anything can happenOnly downside so far is, it’ll be 4Matic only.
Oh yes, it most certainly will be a step down in the aspects you mentioned, but the power output of 270 kW combined with an expected relatively low weight somehow triggers me. That and the, indeed, beautiful exterior design. What would tempt you out of your S Mick? If the W223 is one of the best S classes you have owned and the E will surely be a step down in comfort, ride and refinement.
It is though possibly the prettiest E ever IMO.
That spec is absolutely perfect and looks freaking gorgeous. No mistake the new E-class is a stunning saloon, perhaps the best looking in the current Mercedes line up.
This car has the presence, gravitas and beauty of an S; Mercedes has really knocked this out of the park as this is the first time since the W211 an E-Class has had my attention like this.

few more hoursFirst Drive reviews can't be far off now surely.
