The i7 is an exclusive exception in BMW’s design, the best they have and best in general from DE IMO.

But I cannot stand van Hooydonk, he should have leave the company at least arround 2015.
He just has no vision for the brand design.
The lineup was never so incoherent as it’s now.
With each model he presents a new design language, undicided and without any vision behind it.
After dozens of mediocre designs it’s time for a fresh air.

I think the F01, F10 and F30 are the clearest products/vehicles that represented the Van Hooydonk era.

By the way, Thai market usually takes at least a year to start assembling each model/product in the Rayong Plant. For example: fully imported C.B.U. vehicles for the first model year and then the locally built C.K.D. vehicles for a second and the rest of their entire life cycles. But for the G70’s case, it takes less than a year to start a proper C.K.D. production despite having a global launch in April and began it’s production (Germany) in July this year.

F10 and F12 were his best creatings IMO, even though I give more credit to their actual designers:
Jacek Fröhlich and Nader Faghihzadeh.

As already at that time their lineup wasn‘t following a strict design language as it was before Van Hoydonk.
The chaos we have right now started just right there I think.
He is an excelent standalone designer but he should never been made a head designer.

Finally saw one in person. No, the front end is not good. Way too fat and round compared with the rest of the car, and the massive grille looks cheap. The rest looks okay, bit too tall but whatever.

Well, there is the first non-M sport in white and live that I see, it is as I expected and in that color, that trim is the option to follow

M Sport Pack with the chrome grille is the way to go. As far as the two tone paints go M Sport Pro Pack with the Black-Dravit Grey combo looks superb.

IMHO these are the best possible configurations

Those recent batch of pictures were a pleasure to see. Loving the 2-bulb headlights - they look very cool and boss-like. The Sky Blue colour is Sensational. This needs to be called a 9-Series not a 7 lol.
