I think the ratio of side wall size would become too 'donk' with 24's.

On the road with the new i7 - in this incredible matte black finish! It is such a hugely impressive car! As designers we are always about ‘the next thing’, I am truly inspired and thoroughly convinced by the visual strength, character and conviction that the entire BMW Design Team - under the leadership of @domagoj.dukec - has managed to bring to the road! It is an absolute landmark for BMW, and one in my view that will resonate incredibly well in the future! The technology and refinement is setting an incredible benchmark for a 7-series! AVH and AW, E65 and the first Z4 and still lurking in the place that saw them born as designers and more than that, directing it, interesting human resources policy

Either BMW has spent a s***load of money cajoling journalists/reviewers or they've done a very good job with the 7er/i& as the general consensus most of the headlines and some of the reviews indicate it is that this damn near perfect.

23" looks great actually, all they need is some thicker tires, which surely fit those wheel wells just fine.
