I really think that Audi has the most beautiful interior design of this segment right now. The steering wheel, the dials, are the most avantgard of the three big germans, something I miss in the MBs and in the BMWs, which are too conservative in some areas of the interior design.

I think only Porsche produces interiors as nice as the Audi´s ones.

Agree 100%.

^^^ Since people bring in BMW and MB all the time here in this thread:

1000% disagree about the interior. BMW 5er is by far and miles the best, interior and exterior. And of course driving dynamics, engines and stuff like that :) :)

Now back to the A6 then?

:t-cheers:

Overall, in-and-out a good balance in Audi design. Best looking in the range (excluding my favourites the A5 coupè and R8).:usa7uh:

F10 5er has this segment in the bag;) :eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap

New A6 brings the same-old to this segment: ALTERNATIVE to this segment. F10 BMW 5er ranks as the leader again and for those who dislike leaders or E-class's conservative approach, the A6 is your alternative...shame:eusa_doh::D

Back on topic: The A6 interior has BMW overtones and BMW ergonomics as was already the point of view of some (including myself) members in the A7 thread.;) Nevertheless there is nothing to dislike to the new A6's interior - layout is familiar and quality is pure top-notch German/Audi:usa7uh:

I was unsure about the look of the A6. However looking at it agin I really like it. The car has no faults and overall is a good looker. I especially like these pictures.

Lovely wide stance here

Great masculine and menacing but understated face

This car looks really good on the move. Lower and wider will help the proportion too. Surprisingly, the interior isn't impressing me at all. Don't like the 4 spoke wheel as others have pointed out but it also looks pretty bland to these eyes. I also dislike the nautical tones with some of the wood options. Maybe with more pictures and especially IRL, my opinion will change.:eusa_thin

It is a big improvement over the C6. The full LED headlights make a great impression. Can't say the same about the tail lights though. The interior really stands out for its design. Overall, I'm satisfied with the result.:usa7uh:

Hi
I am more than a bit disappointed if it will be a year before we see the Avant on the road, I have been waiting a long time for this car. Both BMW and Merc had the estate version of their cars on the road within six months of the release of the saloon.

Whst can I say, this is a beautiful car. There simply isn't a weak spot in the design. The lines are clean, elegant and discreetly modern. The interior is characterized by high-quality materials and seemingly excellent build quality. The engines and technology are in line what one might expect from a brand with a motto: "Vorsprung Durch Technik".

So what is there not to like? Well, there isn't much not to like. This is another strong product from Audi that is most certainly going to be a success. The discreet style and wide engine selection will guarantee that it's going to sell exceptionally well in Europe especially. I expect it to eventually become number one seller on the German and other markets in Western Europe.

However, for enthusiasts like most of us here, the new A6 is perhaps less exciting. The exterior design is extremely safe, like vanilla ice cream. It's good but doesn't really make us feel tingly. The interior is probably the only part that truly impresses even if it's (naturally) very similar to the A7's. So as whole the car leaves a good if slightly uninspiring taste in your mouth.

As many others, I wish the A4, A6 and A8 were more unique and not so homogenous design-wise. But I do realize this strategy is clearly working for Audi so we shouldn't expect to see anything revolutionary in the near future, at least concerning the three core sedan models (A4, A6 & A8).

Little side "rant":

I can't really understand the negative connotation of "Vanilla". Vanilla is the flavor that will always taste good, that will always keep you coming back, while gimmicky schticks will get your mouth watering initially, but will have you gag reflexing after over indulges. :D

Now back to the cars:

Recently, I've seen a few well optioned and spec'd A4's. Actually, I really like that car now. Not as something I'd fawn over all so much, but the styling is so clean, and although it appears generic when not really studying it, it's very teutonic, lean, and crisp/athletic. Somehow, in bland/low spec'd examples, it always comes off as kind of cheap to me, and "Korean" looking, but with some complimentary options/colors/aesthetics, it comes alive.

I for one am VERY happy one of the "Big 3" German luxo brands are keeping it bauhaus, clean, evolutionary. The segment NEEDS it. Bravo Audi. Variety is good. Now if they just didn't have the most gimmicky faces out there, not that I dislike Audi's fronts (I love some, but they're popping-smoke/cheap thrills in some respects), but they don't match the rest of the cars (at least not on the A6).

Nice. Audi's current design language is being appreciated by me more-so, lately. Finally seeing some good spec'd A4's, and an A8 on the road, the careful evolutionary design shows a nice, concise, and proud confidence.

That "widebody" look fits better with the crazy front end though, while the regular A6 still suffers when looked at from the 3/4 frontal view IMO (crazy front, simple sides).

The new 2011 Audi A6 ranks 5 out of 13 Luxury Cars. Audi 6 cars performance, Interior & Exterior is very good. But, in Audi 6 safety & reliability features is not better than other cars.

Finally,

Could one of the mods please edit the thread title and remove "Leaked" from it.

Those headlights work wonders, I actually think it gives the A6 the best looking fascia amongst its rivals.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
