^^^^Another video, one that has some interior footage as well as driving footage. Scroll down a little bit to see it.

This concept makes me uncomfortable. It's like MB has boomeranged back to the W220 period, but this time with a vintage-inspired grille and some insights gained from the '00s.

I don't feel like Mercedes design is 'running on its own power' right now, but it still looks smashingly good and portends good things for the CLS.

I just wish that we were seeing more styling elements that Mercedes 'owns.' There's lots of it in the E-Klass and E-Coupe, but I'm not feeling it here.

The CLS is still looking very, very good - even at this late stage in its product cycle. It's a tough act to follow.

Fustracción I do not understand that people come with the news "already known" of 3.5

Mercedes lately and it unified cylinder, turbo or applied or used to limit the injection to change powers and models.

I understand that this engine will be the middle of the new V-6.

What is relevant is the new configuration of 60 degrees between banks and applying all the latest in regards to technology for this engine family.

The power increase / decrease using turbos or limiting electronics.

Performance, "working fine" (which comes to Mercedes) and consumption is the end I think that should be judged in these motors, but 306 hp are many, for the intermediate range of Mercedes

OT: Why are we blending replies together now even though you're replying to more than one post?

So after viewing higher res pics, the LCD screen does not look that small. Also, I do like how the HVAC controls are integrated.

thank yo shining star

Hope this can now put to peace people claiming the top is like a BMW if you see carefully the upper part off the dash is very much based on the previos cls but less curvy and has the screen intergrated...

I am sorry fortuner I try to avoid these kind of comparisons but I couldn't help it with this one. Bro: there is no single element that has resemblance with old CLS. Air vents/Screen/Top part of the dashboard/HVAC controls all are different. Gauge cluster is also changed. The dashboard screams BMW and it is ugly at the side where it meets the door (passenger side). It looks unfinished.

Sorry if we disagree but this is soooooo obvious IMO.

So, what will be the name of this car when it is officially launch as production model? CLT? BTW, I would love to see those seats, side mirrors and door handles in the production car. (which is impossible for side mirrors and door handles)

This engine/horsepower debate is really getting me cooked. Face the facts, MBs in their typical guise are not performance machines. The majority of their owners probably do not know, nor care about how much power is under the hood of their car. As long as it gets up and goes, that's likely all that matters to them. No, it will not trounce the turbo I6 from BMW, but who cares? These concerns don't go beyond this forum. MB knows its customer base, knows what the competition has to offer and rightfully understands its place in the luxury car market. If you want more power, pay for it or go somewhere else. MB customers largely could give two sh*** about whether or not their V6 has more power than a BMWs I6. The typical MB owner does not buy their car based on HP numbers. Let BMW and Audi duke it out for "who has the biggest sausage contest." MB plays it safe with their bread and butter and they'll continue to do so.

If this engine doesn't have a turbo, doesn't anyone else think it's pretty obvious a turbo WILL be added at some stage? :t-hands:

Absolutely! Probably even for the CLS launch.. They just decided to hold back for now..

The people who claim that are 100% correct. That interior is so much based on current Bimmers it's not even funny.

Seriously. Not funny anymore. Mercedes has to choose it's own crappy path in the future, and stop looking at others the whole time.

I may have hints of current CLS, but it also smacks of new generation BMW interior design. Still a good looking interior.

Influences of BMW's F01 & F10 in the interior, especially the top half of the dash IMO.

Stunning. The dash board has a hint of BMW, but that's not a bad thing.

So I am not as mad as I initially thought:D

Love the front end design ala SLS:usa7uh:

PS: I see Klier agrees also

Did anyone pay attention to the front seats...I'd say Porsche!?:t-hands:

There is a hint of BMW in the top part of the dash.

There is also some GLK believe it or not, just curvier in how the passenger side wood on the dash is 3 dimensional. If the interior is like that, especially all the wood in between the seats, it will be one of the best MB has to offer.

The area around the radio is a little too generic for me, doesn't look too original and just seems like MB had to make room for their standard radio to just plop in, but still nice.

I find he interior pretty unique, no complains here. By the way, seems like the engines won´t be turbocharged but only have DI, if they achieve 306hp and 370 Nm of torque without any turbos I should say it´s very impressive.

I personally thinks the dash is totally inspired by the BMW's new gen's, face it! its seriously is true..:t-hands: it almost has nothing to do with/ compare to the old cls dash..

exterior looks good though, would looks absolutely stunning in the CLS form

PS. only the interior... sooo BMWish, too obvious

Dont wanna sound like i am arguing but guys its obvious that merc going to put a screen and i think MB like it above the airvents so no other place then where it is.the upper part for me is very much like the older CLS.the radio area is from the E the airvents are MB.The dials are no whay bmw yes maybe the steering has a hint of BMW but the rest i honestly dont see any BMW except the poor hood shutline..to me this is a superb job by mercedes.
