Congratulations @shakti. Beautiful combination.

Can't wait for the rumored roll out of 'Manufactur' across more markets, including ours.
As I like the Manufaktur offerings, I am always keen to find something new in the Configurator.
to my suprise the German configurator only showed the Manufaktur paints today
but not any longer the interior parts.
may be too many Maybach to be built currently in the Manufaktur building.

or they are refreshing the offering to something new and we can enjoy it in the next days.

I was told that Mercedes is gearing up to offer 'Manufactur' across many more markets than they do currently. It will first be introduced to markets where AMG has a high sales turnover.

That’s normally after circa 50,000 km.

Never mind😉 Wish you many more safe and enjoyable miles.
what is normal on such a non standard car?
sure, this one has a history ( and much less miles)
but not to be shared in a public forum 😏

and thanx for your wishes .

Manufaktur with AMG is actually a great idea, cause I do not at all like the default glossy carbon interior that seems to be a default on proper AMG trims.

I do not believe, that Manufaktur will become available for AMG cars.
to my understanding, they are different in-house profit centers.
AMG to enhance the brand into the sporty and lifestyle segment.
Manufaktur to enhance the product offering to the more classy and luxury segment plus getting a feed into the lifestyle, fashion and trendy world of the younger rich.

Comparing the available color schemes from Rolls Royce, like mint green and more
( Rolls Royce just announced, that the average age of their customers is only 43)
Mercedes has to offer more popular fresh colors, which seems to be adressed now from the Manufaktur color portfolio.

AMG in comparison is adressing another competition,
the Marketing world of highperformance fuel cars is getting tougher.

( just my point of view and understanding)

I just checked and you can indeed get Manufaktur on AMG cars. Just not all of them.
From the German site, its available on the G63, S63, GLE63, SL63e and GT63e. But they really should be available on all AMGs. They are all far north of 100,000 and you deserve to be able to outfit a bespoke cabin for cars that expensive.

Thank you for the research!
As I am not too much in the AMG world, I had not checked the actual option list.

Manufaktur gets pretty close to that with their blue interior:

What does this cost in the US?!? Another 20K?

The mileage is shown on the doorsticker as well. Reads like 36.269.
if you can read the door sticker, why you have asked the first time for registration date and mileage?
Your personal way to welcome new members to the Forum?
anyhow, we do not need to follow this conversation up further....

Because you didn’t spec anything; not the steering wheel and not the conscious choice for the absence of HUD. You probably bought a used, second hand car. Nothing wrong with that, but you pretend otherwise.
Indeed, no need to discuss this any further.

Mich Briesgau
indeed, probably nothing wrong with your comments,
but not adding real value to the general W223 thread,
Just becoming personal, which I do not like.
from there:
Welcome, you are my first member of this forums ignore list

Remind me where he said it is new and he specced it himself? I don't see that anywhere.
Don't be a hater because his car looks better than your's ;)

In the third and fourth paragraph of this post he said things like "I have chosen for the steering wheel the same dark leather color as used on the upper side of the instrument panel" and "I ordered no heads up display, so no dark box behind the steering wheel, no dark box reflections in the windscreen." https://www.germancarforum.com/threads/mercedes-benz-s-class-w223.60931/page-210#post-1550918

Busted by dear @Mick Briesgau. Perhaps this was all just a translation to English issue? Pretty car regardless.

Yeah ok fair enough. The blocking of a member like that was kind of a red flag already

For those, who are interested in the w223/v223 car as such and not in detective work:

Comparing the W223 front grill, specially the area of the black coverplate for the distronic sensor, with the front grill of my W220 MOPF, this shows a loss of design quality.

Specially the zone, were the vertical chrome line comes together and makes a kind of jump. W220 looks much more harmonic and with more love to the detail designed.

So I tried to understand, if the other available front grill designs for W223 do have a better appearance. (Ate least to my eyes the standard grill does not match my expectations)

In my area are currently no AMG or Maybach cars on display, so difficult to compare the level of quality in detail on a real car.

from the pictures , there are no interrupted lines with a small jump in the area of the sensor cover.

In the next days I will check original AMG and Maybach grills to compare with the standard grill and than I will decide, if the front grill might become an area of improvement / customization.

I am aware, that this exercise is not easy to do, as the full bumper needs to get de assembled to exchange the grill. Also camera and sensor needs to get trained again.

But I am sure, that an official Mercedes Body shop can do this operation in a fair time.
