S-Class (W223) [Official] Mercedes-Benz S-Class (W223)

The Mercedes-Benz W223 is the seventh generation of the S‑Class full-size luxury sedan, produced by Mercedes-Benz since 2020. It replaces the W222 S‑Class which had been produced since 2013.

Someone should do this combo on a W223.

Yellow and green, just like the Brazilian flag. That's not a compliment, btw.

All those paint and leather options yet you still can't replace the shiny plastic on the door handles, center console and steering wheel, lol.

Baby steps. They're getting there slowly.

Apparently the intent is to grow Manufaktur across the range.

We are certainly getting a lot more options in Australia with the most recent model launches. Is MB finally listening.

They need to put small studios inside the dealerships where people will want to order more of the manufaktur options. It’s time for the E and CLE to be added to this and Mercedes needs to offfer more soft top colors too.

I’m not convinced people would spring for it on the E and CLE in the U.S. The high end Designo interiors that were offered last decade on the C and E-class had a very low take rate.

The question I have to ask is.... How many people knew? Manufaktur seems to be a thing Mercedes never really shouted about much for anything other than the S class and it's Maybach trims.
If nothing else it should be offered for the E/CLE AMGs because they're gonna be north of $100k and at at that point you can probably start convincing people to spend that extra little bit to make it theirs.

I get that. I wonder if pricing can be adjusted to reflect the lower priced car as the starting point. Would love to see the E with these interiors. At least the 53. A CLE Cabrio with a brown or tan or blue top would be stunning.

All that matters? Nah hardly. All that matters are the costs, and the E class being a relic ICE car isn't ticking any boxes.

It sure did tick the boxes with the journalists' press releases.
The E is ahead of the class with numerous magazine articles from different sources here in the US. MotorTrend, Motor Week, Car&Driver just to name a few.

The E is a fantastic ICE offering. A plug in hybrid variant of the E is infinitely more appealing to me than an EV 5.

Klier is living in an alternate reality created by western 'leaders' and god know what other nifarious characters. The intent was clearly to force EVs on to the market for whatever agenda (global warming? Environmental concerns? Really?) they are pursuing.

It's been a while since the E has had such wide spread praise. It's clearly the best E in a few generations. It's the kind of effort that Mercedes must put into everything they make from now on. I'm hopeful that the new CLA and S FL will get such praise. The CLA in particular needs to under promise and over deliver and drive like a Mercedes.

I thought the previous gen (W213) was held in pretty high regard by both critics and customers. Solid style inside and out, good ride, good dynamics, and well-rounded powertrain choices.

In fairness to Klier, he's persistently beating the bleeding edge tech-bro drum, not the eco-warrior one. It may well be (or is, depending on market) that EVs were/are being foisted on the market for Eco reasons, but that doesn't mean that from an individual perspective people who think EVs are just fantastic think that because of those Eco reasons.

Personally, I don't know anyone with an EV that gives a **** about the environment. Their cars are faster than they're used to and they're not having to pay for fuel (or personal tax for company cars) any more... that's really it.
