You could say the same thing last generation. It's not even worth debating, this was covered tons of times 10 years ago on this very forum. They look similar and continue to do so. The W214's tail lights are slightly different than the W223's in the same way that the W213's were slightly different than the W222.

I put the C-class in for good measure. I loved the W222 but let's serious for a second and stop denying the obvious.

i was talking front
the w223 has such small front lights, you could tell its an c-class
its not majestic enought, not enough aristocratic

oh yes i would take a new LS500 or G90 over an W223 everytime - the craftmanship is on a different level, also (for my taste) the design and i'm 100% that those 2 would be 10x more reliable then the new Mercedes cars, which are full of cost cutting and have one problem after another...its a shame, really. Specially for that kind of money.

LS500? Sure. I really don't think a G90 would be more reliable than a W223.

I think it would
Havent heared from nobody, they had issues with a Hyundai/Genesis.... but i literaly see videos and read posts in S-Class Groups every day of troubles with the new Mercedes models.
Its a shame...the glorious times of an W140 are long, long gone.
Ola is going to destroy this Company with his cost cutting programe...

There is nothing to prove that a brand new car like the G90 is more reliable than anything, yet.

That might be because nobody really buys Genesis products to the same degree they do an S class.
Sample size matters after all.

Although the Genesis G90 is a great car, I test drove it a good year ago.

But an S-Class is an S-Class, there's no getting around it.

I like the overall design of the W223, especially the rear lights, they look quite unique compared to other Mercedes models with their 3D vertical pins. The front looks ok but it doesn't look majestic enough for an S-class with its narrow head lights. The FL with enlarged grill should improve the front, but I fear it will mess up the terrific rear end, I am not a big fan of them including E-class style 3 pointed stars in the tail lights.

"Personalization" is an immensely lucrative endeavor for M-B/AMG Manufaktur, Mulliner, Porsche Sonderwunsch, BMW Individual, et al.
