S-Class W222 [Official] Mercedes-Benz S-Class (W222)

The Mercedes-Benz W222 is the sixth generation of the Mercedes Benz S-Class produced from 2013 to 2020, serving as the successor to the W221 S-Class and predecessor to the W223 S-Class. The W222 has a similar design theme to the C-Class (W205) and E-Class (W213).
It is gorgeous from the pictures you posted of it a while back, if it's the same car.
On another note, I just spotted an S65 final edition
I've seen more W222 S65 than W220 W221 S65 combines.

My heart yearns for an S600.

This one; so nice

I said it once and I will say it again: the W222 is the prettiest sedan on sale today.

In my opi...
I kind of disagree. I think the ghost is the best looking sedan in the world. The S does make the top 5. I also kind of like the current 7. The Ghibli is also quite good looking.

Uh-oh... the dreaded fading wood that plagued the W212 pre-FL is back on early W222s with burl wood option - MY2013, MY2014. Stupid issue to have on such a car; I thought MB learned their lesson the first time.

^ looks terrible.
Didn’t have that fading problem with my pre FL W222 (2014-2018) with burl wood. It stayed wonderful dark and warm.

Black leather with burr walnut trim is a classic that never goes out of style and matches with any exterior colour. Long live the black interior!

And uncle Philly has a message to all the pretentious assholes who say that black interior is unimaginative.

@sako97 Yes, that will most likely play a big factor. One can’t compare The Netherlands with those sunny states.
Have you seen such faded wood in cars of other manufacturers?

That isn't faded wood, thats humidity that entered the veneer from behind and couldn't exit from the front, and got trapped. Things get exacerbated when you live in a climate with strong changes of humidy between seasons, or step temperature changes.
Mercedes should have added some kind of sealer/finish from behind.

Just FYI: sometimes this same phenomenon also appear when wood isn't properly dried; but a bit difficult in this case, as in modern cars "wood" is just a veneer with plastic baking, and not another wood blank as used to be the case.

The only other car where I seen fading of this magnitude was the early W212s. MB used to replace them frequently under warranty back in the day.

I appreciate the feedback and clarification.
