S-Class (W222/C217/A217) [Official] Mercedes-Benz S-Class (W222)

The Mercedes-Benz W222 is the sixth generation of the Mercedes Benz S-Class. Body styles: W222 (standard), V222 (long), X222 (limousine, Mercedes-Maybach), VV222 (pullman), C127 (coupé), A217 (convertible). Predecessor: S-Class (W221). Successor: S-Class (W223). Production: 2013–2020.
In 2012 I was browsing the Ebay Motors and I saw a black 2000 S430 with 376,000 miles (605,113 kilometres) for sale in NYC.

The highest km Post-2000 S-class to my knowledge is this one with 1.029 million km.

Neither the Hyundai (genesis), nor the Hongqi, nor the Kia are real competitors in the premium segment, there is no point in comparing them, much cheaper they will obviously sell. The CT6 and others do not even compete for size.

It is a shity analysis, which textures that the fault of the fall in sales is because S Class sold 65,000 units ??? God, that 47,000 of the 7 series are weak ???, this "car industry analysis" tweets this garbage and they are just that, a Twitter address, the A8 lost more than 10,000 sales, wouldn't that be the problem? analysis none, only pasted photos and figures

As I said, the information on that site/link is not reliable ... taken from the memory and balance sheet shareholders

BMW 7 Series - 50,552 (2019)

This is stupid. 145k for top spec car , maybe .

But the difference between S class and G90 is around 20k base price.

God, that 47,000 of the 7 series are weak ???,

And the number of people said that on this topic isssssss...none

Chill out man. It's only a analysis. Nobody tells that 7er is shitty

PS: Genesis is EXACTLY a proper S class competitor. Just cheaper , and less luxury

It literally says that in the tweet.

As I said, the information on that site/link is not reliable

I'd have to agree. They state the source as FGW, which is the Independent Fiat Blog of one person - probably the same person as runs the Car Industry Analysis twitter account. The numbers are always rounded, and there's always that *Estimated disclaimer... except for when the stated source is Jato dynamics... which as you'd expect, offers more precise data.

You're correct on the 7-er number, it doesn't agree with the official number. I checked the Jag one also, again rounded down a little, but the -24% makes no sense... it actually dropped off by 55% according to Jaguars own numbers. The A8 did 23,826, but was actually down on the previous year, not up. The +8% figure is silly especially given the 20,000 figure given is underreporting the actual number by 16% to begin with.

Perhaps there is sound methodology, but it's not stated as far as I can see.

FWIW, my own "expert" analysis (though I don't have my own blog), is that the G11/12 does okay for a 7-er, but is behind the F01/02, so, weak in that respect.

The only reason you buy the Genesis is because you can't afford the Mercedes. Plain and simple.

Yup, on top of that those buying a Genesis are paying less than sticker from the day they first arrive at dealerships. Depreciation will be killer like the flop Hyundai Equus from way back.
