S-Class W222 [Official] Mercedes-Benz S-Class (W222)

I was near a M-B dealer today and with a bit of time to kill, I thought I'd finally check out the S-class sedan and C-class. Unfortunately, I didn't have enought time to kill for a test-drive, so no driving impression.

I first sat in the S-class. My goodness, does it have presence. It was black/black S550 (S500) with the AMG package. I felt like an absolute BAMF. Still, it's just too much car for me. I think I'd top at an E-class/5er-sized car.

In the C-class, while a couple steps down from the S, it wasn't lacking. I checked out a palladium silver C300 4matic. I was hoping that in person that the screen wouldn't feel so tacked and cheap. Unfortunately, it didn't. Otherwise, a beautiful interior and exterior. The C-class felt like a better fit for me, while I felt weirdly out of place in an S.

Apparently, his AMG didn't want to start because of some engine failure that happened 4 times and dealership didn't want to give him new car, so...

No one really knows the story behind this. Could be anything as far as I know. Even up to the possibility the car wasn't starting because he was doing something wrong.

I'd have a tough time choosing between the two. They are truly on top of their game.

They compliment each other quite nicely, and I would say this for the first time. I would have a hard time choosing between one or the other, just depends on which side of the bed I wake up on...

Well, concerning the engines, I couldn't really tell since it was a 730d which is not really comparable to the engine I've got in my S. However, a drive in my previous 7er (750xi) does feel waaay more lively and dynamic. S class is simply a boring driving machine making me feel older than I am.
When it comes to exterior comparison, BMW def. aims for younger population with its sportiness. IMO black is not the right color for it and standing next to S, I wouldn't have a hard time choosing Merc over BMW this time (I'm a BMW fanboy btw).
However, the biggest disappointment came from 7er interior which didn't give me that special and luxury feeling which S has plenty of it. Def. not on pair with S class. I always thought that BMW is about simplicity and minimalism but this time Mercedes managed to transfer that philosophy to S class and they nailed it. Yes, ok, 7er trim and seats color combo killed the feeling and they told me the level of equipment was on medium level.. I guess I'll have to wait to check some better equipped and more powerful 7er with better color combo in order to make a final judgment. For now, let's just say i went to the dealership with a smile on my face, and left it without it.

P.S. I'm lying, I bought Mini.

True, long time.. Been working a lot. However, I was visiting the forum in incognito mode quite often Meanwhile, I purchased couple of cars such as Merc GLS, S500, couple of non-important Toyotas as well as Skodas.. Currently waiting my Mini as well as BMW Gran Coupe 640xd.. Also thinking about S coupe!
Now that I told you that, I bet you will insist that I make new photo sessions?
