Anyone ever come across this optional designo interior? "Designo Manufaktur Classic Red". I can't seem to find anything about it here in the U.S. or anywhere else.

Yea, there was a 2017 S63 at my local dealer that had this interior with a Rudy Black exterior. It's custom order, $12k Designo package. It's not as red as it looks in pictures. I really liked it but it was a tough sell for obvious reasons.

That S560 is the second W222 the US to have that interior:

I love red interiors a lot but am quite averse to actually ordering them, especially in a S-Class type car. My wife for one refuses to sit in one if I ever order it. Something about them looking like brothels.

The hue looked really nice on the S 550 I posted, but slightly less so on the S 63, although that model would probably fit better with it. Red interiors have a way of setting up undue expectations in pictures.

Love the S but red interior doesn't feel or look right for this car just my opinion.

Yes a C63 with red interior even the Beasty GT with a red just not this car In my opinion anyway

The GT 63s would look fantastic in the available red I have seen. Especially a matte black, red interior and the black interior trim throughout (instead of silver). The GT 63s is fast becoming my favorite three-star model.

Faux pas... this steering wheel just looks too gaudy in the S

I'm fine with AMG steering wheel, but what's bugging me is what seems to be an off-center steering wheel. Is it the angle of the picture or is it like that? When I sat in a pre-FL sedan 18 months ago and pre-FL coupe 6 months ago, I don't remember. Then again, I sat in it for about 10 minutes.

The S-class steering wheel has been off-center slightly to the right since the W221. It really bothered my OCD self when took delivery of my W221 way back in the day. I've gotten used to it... sort of. It's the same in the C216 CL, C217, etc.

I only truly notice if I immediately sit in a S after being in say a Panamera, where the steering wheel is dead-on center.

The worst offenders of the off-center steering wheels are the V12 Lamborghini's due to the massive transmission tunnels. Foot pedals are way off to the left so it darn near ruins the driving experience (on top of all the other issues). Plus the seating positions are inward.

It's the best S-Class since the W126 IMO. I still want a S63 Cabriolet.
