It might be so, however it will be nice if MB did't just use the same steering wheel design for every single model.

True. But i think it's a marketing decision to lure and please entry level buyers into the brand.

Don't think so. Simple cost cutting

Audi's, BMW's and Porsche's have been sharing steering wheels across range for as long as i can remember. Inevitable and hardly surprising.

I must say MB has stepped their game up when it comes to steering wheel designs overall. I liked how comfortable the 2 spoke S-class steering wheel felt, but MB couldn't handle the controversy - alas here we are.

Mercedes needs to promote this type of stuff a lot more. The exteriors and interiors are beautiful.

Amazing stuff. I have always been a fan of designo program. I really liked the Maybach interior. That hue of brown is amazing. The puffed up quilting is also something I wish was available on the regular S Class on all colors.

If I were to do a designo S Class, I'd ask for the Mocha Brown interior of available with the V220 designo editions a while back. To date my hands-down favorite interior color.

Not decades. 221, 212, 204 - all had their own sterring wheels. BMW E66, E60, E90... there were 2 different steering wheels for every model!

Ah, I was thinking 70's-90's. Regardless, the W212 and W204 definitely shared steering wheels with other models in the MB lineup, just not with the S-class. Same story with the E60 and E90 vs. E66.

Not sure if its posted earlier, very nice review

Yep. The W222 development team should really be patting themselves on the back. They did a tremendous job- this level of success doesn't come very often for anyone.
