S-Class [Official] Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupé Facelift (C217) 2017-

The Mercedes-Benz S-Class, formerly known as Sonderklasse, is a series of full-sized luxury sedans and coupés produced by Mercedes-Benz. The S-Class is the designation for top-of-the-line Mercedes-Benz models and was officially introduced in 1972 with the W116, and has remained in use ever since. The S-Class is the flagship vehicle for Mercedes-Benz, being positioned above the other Mercedes-Benz models.
I was riding alongside a light blue Maybach 650 cabrio earlier; first thought was wow nice car, second thought was $335k??? .... Then I wondered if I'd ever see one on the road again, which is kind of the point of the car.

A nicely specced S550

What do you guys think, ignore the strips, does the matte black work on the S coupe?

I don't think so either.
In fact, I don't like the Edition1 Package for the S Coupe. It is more fitting to the C63/E63.
The S needs to have its own super-sport package imo.
Something a little more distinctive and exclusive.

This neat rear the8 can only dream of.

The S-Coupe can't be beaten. It's beautiful and classy from every angle, and that interior.

The 8er is nice on it's own way and it won't compete with the S-Coupe as it is just a replacement for the 6 Series, so it fits somewhere between the CLS and the S-Coupe.

I also don't like them, I think they're too fussy... too many parts inside. I think the sedan had the best facelift. It looks awesome.
Absolutely agreed, Luke. MB did everything right with the sedan (although I had to get used to it in the beginning). The Coupe’s facelift has been executed in a sub-ideal way.
