G-Class [Official] Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG (W463)

The Mercedes-Benz G-Class, colloquially known as the G-Wagon or G-Wagen (as an abbreviation of Geländewagen), is a four-wheel drive luxury SUV manufactured by Magna Steyr (formerly Steyr-Daimler-Puch) in Graz, Styria, Austria, and sold by Mercedes-Benz. Originally developed as a military off-roader, later more luxurious models were added to the line. In certain markets, it was sold under the Puch name as Puch G until 2000.
I think it has to do more with the age of the vehicle. Back then all the screws holding the headlights and taillights were exposed.
I remember this being a problem with our Land Cruiser 25+ years ago.

Finally it got released from port and showed up 1 month earlier than expected.

PDI, detailing etc... is the next step.

Keeping the revs under 3,500 rpm and no kick-downs for the first 1,500 km. At 3,000 km it needs to go back for differential oil flush (once only).

Not sure how or why, but I ended up with Dunlop tires. A quick tire check up at tirerack.com and there seems to be a wide selection for the G on 20" wheels :D Yokohama was the only supplier several years ago.

M157 delivers on this military property that's been let loose on the streets! Now how can I get a M279 engine with a manual transmission in a sportscar ?

Awesome car Soup, massive congrats again! Didn't think your car will arrive so soon. How does the mystic white look in person, does it look similar to their diamond white?

If both cars were parked next to each other I could've answered your question, but I do have an old pic of my diamond white ml that may help you.

How do you like the new COMAND screen? I feel like it's in your face and it's not pretty.

How do you like the new COMAND screen? I feel like it's in your face and it's not pretty.

I had the same impression before getting a test drive.

In the G, you're sitting up high and the new screen is placed in the right location. Trust me, you don't want it fitted under the diff-lock buttons or anywhere lower.

I'm beginning to like this car more and more. Never said such a thing about any other SUV I've owned in the past.

I'm still stuck in 'C' mode :hungry:

Decorate your office with wildly colorful Mercedes-AMG G63s
The company limits each color to 463 units.

If you don’t have room to fit a fleet of Mercedes-AMG G63 SUVs in the garage, then the company's new Crazy Colors models at least offers a chance to park a rainbow assortment of them on your bookshelf. While you can't actually drive these 1:18-scale toys, it's still fun to imagine using one to climb the tallest pile of paperwork on the desk when work gets too daunting.

True to their name, the Crazy Colors G63 models come in five eye-popping shades: AMG solarbeam, sunsetbeam, aliengreen, tomatored, and galacticbeam. Parts like the mirrors, bumpers, roof, and wheel arch extensions are obsidian black, which creates a better visual contrast against the body's bright tones. The company GT Spirit goes out of its way to make the models as accurate as possible, too. For example, even the distance between the honeycomb stitching on the seats is to the correct scale. Each of these tiny SUVs consists of around 100 parts.

People who want one these scale G63s need to act quickly because Mercedes limits each color to just 463 examples. The odd figure pays homage to the automaker's W463 internal codename for the G-Class. They're now available from the automaker's sales partners.
