G-Class [Official] Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG (W463)

The Mercedes-Benz G-Class, colloquially known as the G-Wagon or G-Wagen (as an abbreviation of Geländewagen), is a four-wheel drive luxury SUV manufactured by Magna Steyr (formerly Steyr-Daimler-Puch) in Graz, Styria, Austria, and sold by Mercedes-Benz. Originally developed as a military off-roader, later more luxurious models were added to the line. In certain markets, it was sold under the Puch name as Puch G until 2000.

First Million-Dollar Mercedes-Benz G-Class is Armored

Up until recently, the most expensive Mercedes-Benz G-Class that we knew of was the Brabus B63S-700 6x6, and even that lunatic of a car wasn't that much more expensive than a “regular” G 63 AMG 6x6.

Well, as it turns out, there is a Mercedes-Benz G 63 AMG that's even more expensive out there and it doesn't even need six wheels and five differentials to make you empty your platinum credit cards in order to own one.

It is actually just a “normal” G 63 AMG that's been put through the opposite of a diet with the help of the German armoring specialists from Transeco Bremen.

We are obviously talking about an armored G-Class, which is currently for sale on the German Mobile website for-a-not-exactly-round 1,011,500 Euros (or $1,380,798.65).

Sporting integrated armoring that's invisible from the outside or the inside, you could probably call it a sleeper tank on wheels, as it can withstand bullets coming from pretty much any kind of shotgun or machine gun.

If you don't mind the badly-writted specifications, this is the ad in question - just in case you're a Russian oligarch who is reading this.

G-wagon is my most favorite SUV of all times. I love how the design langauge never changed. I have fond memories from my childhood associated with this SUV when I used to have a big radio control G-wagon.

Exclusive: INKAS Announces Bulletproof Mercedes-Benz G63 Limo

INKAS, a Canada-based armored-vehicle manufacturing company, recently introduced its first-of-a-kind fully-armored Mercedes-Benz G63 executive limousine.

According to an email we received from Maria Tkacheva, the Communications Coordinator of the company, the vehicle features a 60-inch stretch, and it is designed to serve as a fully-functional executive mobile office.

The INKAS Mercedes-Benz G63 Limousine Can Withstand Rifle and Grenade Blasts
The armor-plating of the stretched Mercedes-Benz G63 complies with the CEN 1063 Level B6 ballistic standards. That means it can withstand several shots from a 7.62mm or 308 Winchester FMJ ammunition. Then, its floor can protect its cabin against two DM51-type grenades detonated from the ground simultaneously.

The roll-up windows of the vehicle also feature a clearer and more durable bulletproof glass compared to the common ones in the market today. In addition, all apertures in the doors and windows are lined with bullet-catchers to ensure the maximum protection of its occupants.

On the other hand, the company has made sure that its all-new Mercedes-Benz G63 limo can perform well on the roads and provide utmost riding pleasure to its drivers and passengers by upgrading its suspension and braking systems.

Going Inside the Cozy Interior of the Armored Mercedes-Benz G63 Limo
Going inside the vehicle, it has been customized with a combination of exotic leather and wood for its seats, panels, dashboard, armrests and other parts. INKAS fitted the interior with captain-style heated and cooled leather seats with luxurious massage systems, personalized executive safe, bar, plus top-of-the-line lighting and entertainment system as well.

Market Release
The armored Mercedes-Benz G63 limo of INKAS is scheduled to be released in September 2014. For more information about the company and its product, check out this Press Release.

The engineers at Mercedes are off their meds again as our spies have snapped photos of an insane G63 AMG which has been dubbed the "Green Monster."

Looking like an escapee from the set of Jurassic World, the Green Monster is essentially a four-wheel version of the G63 AMG 6x6. As a result, the SUV has been equipped with an aggressive body kit that includes extended fender flares, revised side skirts and a modified rear bumper. The model also has roof-mounted auxiliary lights, an increased ride height and five-spoke alloy wheels with off-road tires.

Power will likely be provided by a twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8 engine that develops 544 PS (400 kW) and 760 Nm (560 lb-ft) of torque. It should be connected to a seven-speed automatic transmission and a four-wheel drive system.

Nothing is official but speculation suggests the model will be launched early next year.
