E43AMG starts at 72.4k in USA.
The situation is more ludicrous down under. even the E 400 cost an extra $33k AUD over the E 300. That is enough to get a high spec Toyota Camry, or a Toyota 86.If you want a 6-cyl E, you have to spend another $20,000....that's pretty ludicrous, IMO.

I am sure there are certain options that are now standard along with the AMG bits and bobs in the E43, nonetheless that's a big jump to get a 6-cylinder E.

80k Dollar for an E43 is very cheap. Ridiculous indeed.
Is that for sure? I was under the impression that only the M5 would get a V8?
