Hi mate I would suggest you drive one if you have time...

Yeah the design wise it's simalar to the C and S ...Personally I would have like the front lights to have the two eye look like past E Class..Maybe you find it boring but I think it looks classy and elegant..The S class still looks the king in the sedans.The car is a total new look compared to the previous E Class..as for the Interior is beautifull modern and classy and a executive place to be.


Think if you find the E boring..You may find the new cars comming from the fellow Germans even boring or even more especially in this class..Unless Audi pulls a dramatic change we expect it to be a larger A4...BMW the new 5 will be almost a smaller version of the 7 and that almost looks like a face-lift of previous 7 so the 5 might well look like a face-lift of the current car .

I think design wise the Germans are all following a similar pattern but at least the E is like a totally New Car compared to the previous generation...I would say it almost took a double step ahead of the W212 and I owned a W212.

Just my opinion ...

My guess is the open area at the back of the wagon isn't acoustically optimum for the Burmester 3D system to work.

Job #1 rolled off the line in Sindelfingen. It's the 6. generation of the wagon, which started with the W123 series in 1978. Daimler said more than a million have been produced so far.
