The Mercedes-Benz CLE is a grand tourer which consists of the C236 coupe and the A236 cabriolet that were both launched in 2023 and replaced both the C-Class and E-Class coupes.

There is definitely a faint V8 burble from the exhaust in some of those shots, AMG cannot disappoint us with some V8 speakers and an inline 4 under the bonnet lol.
Very interesting comparison and I would certainly not choose boring white exterior colour for these cars. The CLE 53 looks the part with it's widened wheel arches and wheels and bonnet scoop. I do like that 2 tone red and black interior it's certainly different. For exterior colour I would have preferred the gun metal grey and also added the half micro fiber carbon fiber steering wheel. Surprised there is only a $10K difference between them. The CLE53 would be the logical choice.

The wide body of the CLE 53 AMG is very nice. Personally, I can imagine that a more "subtle" version of it devoid of the front fender vents and the hood scoop would be very "elegant-aggresive". More of a sleeper, but retaining that very impressive planted stance in a less "shout-y" package.

Rental for the week in Italy. Not bad to drive, although the interior honestly feels like cheaper than some of the newer Mazda’s I’ve been in.
It has a button for radar cruise control, but when you press it a message pops up saying you can purchase it through the Mercedes store lmfao.
Same companies pushing recyclable materials and shitty leather alternatives saying they care about the environment are installing things in their car that might never be even utilized, ie the adaptive suspension in some of the new BMWs. How is that helping the environment? Really feel like regulatory bodies need to step in for stuff like this, it is pretty insane.

The pricing for Mercedes are very confusing tbh.
I think if they lost about 300kg from this car in all models, it would be about perfect competition for the 4 series. Perhaps in a facelift in a few years time.
They should also really get AMG to make a 1 man 1 engine variant of the M256 for these 53 models. Just to maximise their potential. The M256M is very nice, but just needs a little extra.

I know, but it seems on the W214 and this CLE they cannot. A pitty, this car can look nice with the right spec.
