C-Class (W206) [Official] Mercedes Benz C-Class (W206)

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class (W206) is the fifth generation of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class which is produced by Mercedes-Benz Group AG since 2021. It replaces the W205 C-Class which had been produced since 2014. The fifth-generation C-Class is available in sedan (W206), station wagon/estate (S206), and long-wheelbase sedan (V206) body styles. The W206 C-Class is based on the Mercedes MRA II rear-wheel drive modular platform also used by the W223 S-Class.

front looks superb in this shot, I love the new grill with tiny Mercedes stars

On the contrary, I think it looks terrible with all that blank area under the "bumper" line. Reminds me of Clarkson in the Ariel Atom face.
The reversed grill visually accentuates the illusion even further.
Rear part is ultra generic, even if infused with some Giulia vibes

Console angled 6 degrees toward driver for first time to make a more driver centric car.

And the BMW iX has seat controls on the doors like a BMW. Everything sacred is lost, lol.
Seriously though, great to do it this way for MB. This little angle makes tons of difference in a positive way.

Congrats to MB on the design of this car inside out. A shame about the hood shut line sadly. But oh well.

The standard model grille shape looks way better than AMG trim IMO. The rest of the design blend in very well.

CarandDriver is saying early 2022 for the car to come to the US.... Wow, I can't believe it will take that long... Almost a year?

My issue with huge LCD screens is that they will look dated in 3-4 years time, the same way a 3 years old mobile phone nowadays feels a decade old.

Funny cause just the other day I was thinking that my now three-year-old Samsung S9 doesn't look dated at all. If anything I prefer the design over S21. Maybe this isn't the case with car displays yet but for my use, we have reached a certain peak in phone development as the new phones don't really offer anything that would drastically improve my life. Further, with on-air updates with the newest MBUX, maybe they can keep it somewhat fresh for few years. Or maybe not.

Why is the transmission tunnel between the driver and the passenger so high and so close to the steering wheel. When turning your elbows will be hitting it.

The W222 interior, despite reminding me of an expensive brothel, was an almost perfect interior in the sense that the screen is not the center of the interior design.

I've lost count of the number of times I've walked into an expensive brothel and pondered, "this reminds me of the W222 S-Class".

Even some of the diesel engined versions (220d) are inferior in fuel consumption despite the mild hybrid powertrain which is supposed to reduce consumption. I am suspecting that maybe the new model due to extra size could be heavier than the previous model.

It's likely the figures are more accurate for the W206 than for the W205. In the real world I suspect the W206 will achieve superior fuel economy.

Overall I love this new C-Class. I'm really interested in the C 300 e plug-in hybrid. Up to 100km electric range, and rechargeable in 30 mins. It's all the car you'll ever need.
