^ True. Post '93 to about 1996. :)

Post ’93, problems can be found with wiring harnesses on all models of SL (and to an extend, all Mercedes cars). Insulation breaks down inside the loom, with many unrelated issues making diagnosis fun - the engine wiring harness for an SL 500 is £714 from a main dealer. The V12 M120 engine not only suffers the same problems with wiring, the cost of consumables and densely-packed engine bay make regular maintenance less pleasant than the V8. The trade off for this is unparalleled refinement and a true classic, albeit one that comes with a significant premium over the V8 in purchase and maintenance costs. http://www.classicandperformancecar...43/mercedesbenz_sl_buying_guide_19892002.html

I will be ordering my C63 in Mystic Blue. I was hoping it would't look purple and it doesn't! Thanks Wolfgang!

The new one looks so much sleeker. Mercedes has designed the upright grille very nicely. It's not huge and bulky, like the kidney grilles that now look like a pigs nose on BMW's. The W205 looks like it has sportier aspirations as well.

More AMGs 'could use four-cylinder engines' :)
The A45 AMG, GLA45 AMG and CLA45 AMG all use the four-cylinder motor, which produces 355bhp and has the most of any 2.0-litre production engine. All of those cars are part of Mercedes’ ‘compact’ range, but AMG boss Tobias Moers says that the engine’s qualities could be put to good use in other models - even ones that have traditionally used AMG’s trademark V8 units. Installing the four-cylinder engine into a larger model wouldn’t necessarily preclude that car from having a V8; Mercedes has had more than one AMG variant in the range before, and as an example, it could conceivably sell a C45 AMG alongside a C63 AMG.

Am I seeing things? For a second at 0:45, I thought that was a lightly disguised next generation Audi A4. What car is it as I don't think it actually is the next A4?

I'm pretty certain (after spending more time than I ever wanted on Hyundai's website) that it's a 2015 Hyundai Genesis. What at first appears to be camouflage on the grille to hide a badge seems like their solution to integrating what I assume is the adaptive cruise control.

There won't be a C45 AMG powered by the same 2.0L engine (M133) like A45, CLA 45, GLA 45 AMG. The engine fits only in front wheel drive cars as engines for rear wheel drive cars are mounted longitudinal.

But there will be a C450 AMG SPORT 4-Matic according to mb-passion and several other sources. The engine will be the same M276 as in the new GL450 producing 367HP. Further more JESMB speculates that MB is about to introduce a whole new bunch of SPORT models to attack Audi S and BMW M-Performance modells.

I think the M133 2.0L engine can be installed longitudinally. It's one half of the AMG 4.0L V8 engine. It just takes a bit of work to mount the transmission and re-route the plumbing and cooling. Not difficult.
