C-Class (W205) [Official] Mercedes-Benz C-Class (W205)

The Mercedes-Benz W205 is the fourth generation of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class which was produced by Daimler AG between 2014 and 2021. The W205 C-Class was preceded by the W204 C-Class and superseded by the W206 C-Class. The fourth-generation C-Class was available in sedan (W205), station wagon/estate (S205), coupe (C205), cabriolet (A205) and long-wheelbase sedan (V205) body styles.
More C 450 SPORT rumors emerged. :)

It is speculated that Mercedes-Benz will slot a sport model of the C-Class above the C400 4MATIC and below the C63 AMG to compete directly with the Audi S4 and BMW 335i M. The C450 Sport will be powered by the same twin-turbo V6 that will power the C400 and E400. However, it will be tuned to churn out 367hp and 406 lb-ft of torque. That is more power and torque than the prior two generation C55 AMG that has a 5.5L naturally aspirated V8. Keep in mind this is not a AMG model. AMG is said to be involved in not simply squeezing more power out of the car but in the way it drives as well. Expect to see some suspension and braking enhancements. Also, an even more aggressive sport body kit and big wheels are not far fetched as far as expectations go.

The C450 Sport is expected to be launched in both RWD and 4MATIC models. However, as things have been recently, we will likely only see the 4MATIC model in the US market. This car is designed for the person who wants a little more sport from their C-Class without taking on the whole AMG enchilada. However, “a little more” is rather figurative in this case as this car is going to be packing some punch.

The image pictured above is that of a C400 Sport. I will post more details as they are available. What is above is all that I know so far.

More C 450 SPORT rumors emerged. :)

I really hope this model is true and it comes to the U.S. in both RWD and AWD forms. MBUSA needs to stop making 4Matic mandatory on everything. A good portion of the U.S. does not need AWD. A RWD C450 Sport would be the perfect daily driver.

Stunning!

I'll take mine with AMG exterior in iridium silver, AMG interior with cranberry red seats and black ash pore wood and a pano roof for some good contrast  I also prefer the 18" AMG wheels to the 19s. The 18s are perfection!

I think the M133 2.0L engine can be installed longitudinally. It's one half of the AMG 4.0L V8 engine. It just takes a bit of work to mount the transmission and re-route the plumbing and cooling. Not difficult.

The 2.0 engine in the A45/CLA45/GLA 45 AMG is a heavily tuned version of the 2.0 engine that is available in the A250/CLA2500/GLA250 which has now been installed in longitudinal application in the C-Class and E-Class so the AMG engine should also be able to be installed in both C and E class.

More AMGs 'could use four-cylinder engines' :)
The A45 AMG, GLA45 AMG and CLA45 AMG all use the four-cylinder motor, which produces 355bhp and has the most of any 2.0-litre production engine. All of

This wagon is going to be a stunner, looks good at the back and I am sure will be one of the best looking cars in the class

Wheel sizes leaked, and C63 AMG S confirmed. :D Not a fan that they once again went with 255's at the rear and 235's at the front. May need to go get my deposit back. With 500+ HP, I'm guessing all I'm going to see is a face full of traction control going off when pulling away. Will have to wait to see what happens.

^That must be a joke. Even E9x M3 with paltry 295 lb ft or max torque to put down had more rubber than that - 245s and 265s. Heck, even E46 M3 had same amount of rubber at the rear. I guess it will be a lot of sideways fun!

This is going on my back window. :D

I really hope it is. If it isn't, I'm not going to go through a set of tires every 5,000 miles, as a daily driver. Just not practical. Traction control is going to be working very, very hard. TC coming on as you pull away will be annoying.
It is not true, on this picture you can see front wheels with 245 tires. I think it is the same as with the 300 engine. They do not even know what output this engine will have (unofficial and even official sources say 175 kw to 185 kw). The C63 will have either 265 or 275 like the M3. Even the S63 has only 285 tires, Mercedes puts quite narrow tires in comparison with others on its cars, even the SLS has only 295.
