@NYIS some guy was talking to a crowd behind me about the new CL and the new C. He mentioned that MB wants to bring back the "Baby Benz" W124 190E with new C and I understood why they made it so similar to the new S. It truly is a Baby Benz.

Wolf, you're playing with my heart strings! I honestly think that the C-Class is the best Mercedes design in awhile. The smaller packaging really makes this car desirable and I think makes it look better then the S-Class.

Now, bring on the coupe!

I agree with you brother, thanks Wolf the C-Class pics reinforce my view it is the best looking Merc saloon and best looking in its class also, especially the interior which is really beautiful!

Anybody know how/where the 13 speakers in the Burmester soundsystem are placed?
Tried to find some brochure on this from Burmester but no luck...

3 liters/100 km or 78.4 MPG in a C-Class? :)

A combined fuel economy by NEDC standards of around three liters per 100 km (78.4 mpg) is expected from the model when it actually gets officially revealed at the 2014 edition of the Paris Motor Show. In other words, you are looking at the most fuel-efficient C-Class in history, from 2015 in a dealership near you.

One in each door = 4
Subwoofer in dash: 1
Two behind the rear seats:2

That's seven of them.

I can't wait to drive this car. I just hope they make an announcement about the rumored C450 soon. That is the C-Class to have until the AMG model arrives.

In the S class there are two subwoofers in the footwell of passenger and driver. But that may be the 3D sound package with 24 speakers....

I think that it has:

2 Each door (this means 8)
2 Subwoofers in the front footwell
2 In the rear
1 In front behind the windscreen

The car is going to blow the segment wide open with buyers, not the press. It still isn't sporty enough to be #1 in the magazine comparisons, but Mercedes realizes that now and has fully embraced what sells cars - features, design, comfort, luxury, quality...things Mercedes is better at than most when they really make an effort. BMW has gotten softer now too and the sportiest drivers cars in the segment are the ATS and the Lexus IS350 F Sport. Times have changed, yet they stay the same (with Mercedes).

Spot on Marcus! The W204 proved that point with sales far better than any of it's predecessors and the W205 will just build on that.

Its a fantastic looking car and I am sure must be a dream to sit in and drive. It will for sure win over the public. The previous W204 was a great seller and this car is better in all aspects so will probably become a top seller in this segment.

Only the petrol AMG styling version has the exhaust coming out of the pipes in the back. Diesel with AMG exterior does not. As seen in the picture above, it is a mesh kind of plastic cover inside the exhaust...
