Range Rover [Official] Gen 5 Range Rover

The Land Rover Range Rover, generally shortened to Range Rover, is a 4x4 luxury SUV produced by Land Rover, a marque and sub-brand of Jaguar Land Rover. The Range Rover line has been in production since it was launched in 1970 by British Leyland. Additional models have been launched under the Range Rover name, including the Range Rover Sport, Range Rover Evoque, and Range Rover Velar.
The presence and grace of this car from the rear is magnificent. I have driven behind a few and the 3/4 quarter angle is divine. Make the Cullinan resemble a London cab.

When the current X5 was introduced, the rear lights were my major point of criticism, because they looked 'un-BMW' to me, almost Korean. Although in the meantime I got accustomed to them and even liked them, the LCI version brings back the traditional L-shape, and therefore the update is more than welcome for me.

Wrong thread :-(

I loathe first editions. They stand for: You can be amongst the first to own this car if you buy the top engine with ridiculous levels of optional extras.

In black or dark colours, this car is borderline unbeatable for presence. What a stunning blend of elegant, modern but dynamic design. It wears its mass exceptionally well.

Today I saw one for the first time, stopped, new, black with giant black wheels, SWB (I didn't know it existed like that), I didn't expect I wouldn't like it, because I love it in photos, I think because it's SWB and the color.
It's a LWB-only car for sure.

Not for me… I won’t say I loathe the Range Rovers but I loathe them.. what they are, what they stand for and most of all the money they command for less than stellar reliability and blocky looks. At that price point I’d get a Bentayga all day…

In black or the gold launch colours, this SUV stands on its in design.

Here in the U.S. a 2023 Range Rover starts at $106k ($129k for V8) while a 2023 Bentayga starts at $192k. That's a pretty big price difference.

Funny, I vastly prefer the SWB.

I am from the US but am comparing apples to apples.. a well specced RR, autobiography/ SV is closer to the Bentayga…

Closer, but even an Autobiography is ~$180k. I just looked at cars.com and the cheapest Bentayga I can find is still $228k. And then you have insurance/maintenance costs which are next level with the Bentley. Not totally easy for everyone to do that upgrade. I get what you're saying though.

Understandable, in my case, I expected that extra touch that gives it the greatest length in a stylish way, most of the photos are from the LWB, so I was a little disappointed not to see that more luxurious "limousine" part

It just looks expensive.

Just realised, I‘ve yet to see a new Range Rover. I’ve seen several Cullinan and Bentayga (both Dutch and Belgian plated), but no Range so far.
