GMC [Official] From spied to Official - 2022 GMC Hummer EV

GMC (formerly the General Motors Truck Company [1911–1943], or the GMC Truck & Coach Division [1943–1998]) is a division of General Motors (GM) for trucks and utility vehicles.
The range is indeed quite small, I mean very small given how much batteries they put in. Hummers were always high consumption cars, and people bought them anyways, so I doubt it will be a big trouble for the fans, but if the Cybertruck will have better specs, I think objective buyers will get that over the Hummer.
The Hummer will have its 6-12 months of fame for music videos etc. It will be a car to lease for 6-12 months while the Cyber truck will be a car to own outright.

Is the car in the video:

A. Electrically powered.
B. Powered by a TTV8.
C. Just rolling downhill under no powered.

People can say whatever about the cybertrucks 2D deisgn but I really prefer that over this. The hummer is not bad in any way, I just prefer the cybertruck. My only fear is that it will have a sucker empty cheap interior like the Model 3 or worse, and that’s really bad.

Lets hope its the same as the one in this video :giggle: Very interesting technical details and features on this beast. As an offroader this truck is going to be invisible.

I like it too, the interior as well. All the Hummer upsides without the Hummer downsides (insane consumption). Another upside is this humiliating a new M3 at a stoplight, which is an extremely awkward thought....

They're different enough from each other to perfectly coexist together. The Cybertruck is straight up Cyberpunk 2077, which is pretty damn cool I'd say.

This landed exactly just as I imagined. I've got a Bronco coming soon but will be replaced by this Hummer when my order comes in.

M'eh, if someone's that insecure about their purchase that they feel awkward getting slayed by an electric brodozer at the lights... so be it.

There's always a bigger fish.

I don't know why but it's kinda weird to have such a big car without its engine noise. Ev are boring 2 drive I guess.
At the same time who could imagine a 3 sec stock truck 10 years ago.
Hummer that hits 60 like a supercar. Insane.

Damn, I just read that it starts at $112K....

That intrigue I had has, well, it's not as acute as it was. I knew it'd be pricy, but damn, I thought a starting price of about high $70 to mid 80K. I just feel odd thrashing around something like this on the desert or in the mountains. But I guess there's a) a cost being an early adopter, and b) if I was in the income bracket that would allow for such purchases, perhaps I may have a different outlook.

The vast majority of people buying this (including me) aren't going anywhere near a desert or mountains with this thing. It's far too big for any mountain trail and I'm not sure a desert setting is always going to have charging stations nearby. Mine will be used mainly around town and in moderate muddy off road situations on the occasion. My personal price limit for vehicles that will see serious off road use ends at about the ~$60k range (i.e. Bronco).

We’re talking about a SUV that weighs 9000 kg! Not about the competition of the M3.
Nine out of ten only test their M3 at the stoplights anyways. And then they get humiliated by near every modern EV car. Pathetic.

It truly is the end of the line for ICE. They are starting to make no sense anymore.

4-door First Edition. I can't wait, especially since my fiance has slowly been taking over my G63. His Range Rover has been sitting at the dealer for a month now. :ROFLMAO:

An acquaintance who is a Range Rover fan, has 3 Range Rovers, one for him, one for his wife, one for the mechanic!

Indeed. One drivetrain operates at 95% and has exactly one moving part, the other at 25% and 45736782 moving parts with half of it trying to blow itself up while the other half tries to stop it from blowing up. It is an engineering miracle it made sense so long.

Oh no doubt. But it's becoming steampunk at this point.

Hummer, Bronco, Range, G63....quite the SUV lover you are LOL

Congrats! The Hummer looks amazing.

Must say I am impressed of the specs. Has nothing to do with environmental friendly as the amount of resources you have to put in to build one would probably suffice for 2, 3 regular cars but still can imagine this caters for a large market predominantly in US. Main issue will be though that many drivers will not be able to deal with such an amount of power. Imagine next door soccer mom who has to climb up in such a car trying to race you at the next traffic light.

This truck is meant for bundu bashing, it must be one of the most versatile vehicles on the planet. With the amount of torque generated by those electric motors, cant imagine the steep gradients that this thing can climb without breaking a sweat.

With the removable T-top panels it must be a joy to experience this on the dunes or driving on the beach.

I like the interior very much. It looks rugged and solid and very practical with easy cleaning seats and rubber mats and the nice details such as the Sea of Tranquility Moon pics stamped into the speaker covers and first man on the moon boot foot print on the left foot rest.
