I hear the 458 still sets itself on fire automatically even after the recall work was completed![]()

SFC (Spontaneous Ferrari Combustion)
A 458 in South America had the same fate after it got the recall work completed![]()
I was leaving the reasturant and the engine started to pop. Then the car started running rough then it would bearly run. The "check engine" light came on then the car must have a siren in the dashboard and it is loud. I looked at the engine and saw smoke, alot of smoke, I shut her down.
Sad about the car but I was impressed by the dealers response. he called back within seconds. After I hung up my cell phone the flatbed truck was calling me and he was on the way and there within 15 minutes. The car is now at the dealership and it maybe a few days days before I know what happened. It is still a new car and under warrenty. I must admit I am amazed by the dealers quick response.
Oh well life goes on![]()
They agreed to sell my ZR1 for me and they have an F40 I want to look at again. Maybe with some thought I can get into it.
