Z Series [Official] BMW Z4 (G29)

The BMW Z models are a line of roadsters manufactured by German automaker BMW. The Z stands for Zukunft (German for future), and has been produced in four different series with six generations consisting of roadster, coupé, sports car, and concept variants. The introduction of the M Coupé and M Roadster in the Z3 line marked the first of the Z series to have a high-performance BMW M variant. The first generation Z4 also continued to offer M Coupé and M Roadster variants. The current Z4 (G29) uses BMW's (B58B30) inline-six, its platform is the basis for the current Toyota Supra.

Good grief. You couldn't find a more unflattering pic than that last one. The wide angle distorts an already chunky body even further. From roadster to toadster; fat little f##ker.
The more I see it the more I dislike it - on the road it does nothing for me.

IMHO in two years we will forget that this car exists. It would hardly reach 10 k per year in the beginning and than it will fall to 3k.

Its biggest nemesis will be the next generation RWD 2-Series due next year.
....but that will be a 2 door coupe and last time I heard there are no plans for a 2 series convertible successor. So those looking for a small roadster will have to settle for the Z4.

Exactly more than nemesis, the 2 coupe will be the cause of not having a Z4 coupe (also because of the economy and programmed savings), although if the sales of the Z4 continue that well, that apparently are quite good (we will confirm soon with the annual breakdown) who knows they surprise us.

Nice photo, in both cars the fronts are well perceived with the marked "positive inclination" as the broshure of the e21 said, respecting the family air.
Like all Z (except Z1), from Z3 to this Z4 the harmony works best (I would say it only works) with wheels of 19 "or more.
The Z1 came with a single type of wheel beautiful and perfect for the car in 16 "that for the time were like a current 19".

I remember this photo, the first one I saw, what a photo! and the first thing that caught my attention was how good the wheels look in the moving car, they looked maceous (rare at the time, even Porsche used small and not so graceful), see this in the 80's and then wonder why the brand has so many followers

a little off- topic but is sunday

I prefered Supra more than Z4, but the more I see them and after seeing them in flesh I prefer the Z4. I only wish they would make a coupe..... but I guess they won’t....
