Z Series [Official] BMW Z4 (G29)

The BMW Z models are a line of roadsters manufactured by German automaker BMW. The Z stands for Zukunft (German for future), and has been produced in four different series with six generations consisting of roadster, coupé, sports car, and concept variants. The introduction of the M Coupé and M Roadster in the Z3 line marked the first of the Z series to have a high-performance BMW M variant. The first generation Z4 also continued to offer M Coupé and M Roadster variants. The current Z4 (G29) uses BMW's (B58B30) inline-six, its platform is the basis for the current Toyota Supra.

I wonder if BMW is gonna go to work in the LCI. Don’t know how sales figures are going, but a few changes to the front to bring it more in line to the concept could really make it more desirable. I have been seeing them alot in the streets and they are quite expensive here, but have seen far too many people dislike the front end. It doesn’t need too much tbh.

Every time I see this car, it becomes better.

Please BMW, make a coupe version and an M version so I can completely forget about the 1er.

Sales are spectacular afaik. BMW really doesn't care about the opinion of the internet forums and social media. Same will probably be the case for the new M3/4; it'll have record sales.

I suppose that the annual world wide sales will not exceed 15 000. The Z3 and the first Z4 were reaching 40-45 000. I don't know what are the planned sales but the number is not very high. It is also very interesting to see how it compares saleswise with the Toyota Supra and to know whether the management of Toyota is still happy with this alliance.

Who knows it could be, to take advantage of the latest M engines as much as possible

According to the most recent rumors, a version of the BMW S58 straight-six from the ‘nosey’ M3 and M4 will find its way in both the Z4 and a special edition of the Supra

Apparently, BMW M’s head honcho was persuaded to insert the twin-turbo mill in both the Z4 G29’s M version and the Supra GRMN by none other than Toyota’s Tetsuya Tada, also known as Mr 86. The only way the business case for either model would be convincing is if they would be treated not like traditional halo models but limited-production versions that can request a lot more money for their exclusivity, not necessarily for their performance.

Such an iffy design still for me. Must be said that it looks much better in the metal than in pics. One thing though, that is beyond question is its build quality. Definitely the best-built roadster in its class.

So seeing a Z4 out and about is about as rare as hen's teeth, but saw one this morning, and wow, it looks fantastic on the move. Great, classic proportions. Headlights, while initially questionable, look great.

I still think it looks bad. I did enjoy driving one though, it’s very well tuned and fun to drive.

This is the new Z4 LCI, in M40i fashion - likely, officially coming out in a matter of days. Leaked by BMW Switzerland on their Instagram channel, all by mistake. The image has already been taken down.

Mild facelift: grille with new honeycomb pattern, no more Frozen Grey accents (sticking now to the already mainstream extended Shadowline package for the M-lite models), revised air inlets on the front, Thundernight Metallic as new paint choice, 6-speed manual option for the M40i model. Probably no visual changes at the rear, possibly some minor revisions inside and the OS 7.0 living on, just like on the pre-LCI generation.

Hmmm does that bike passenger have a gun?
Of course, "Motochorros" are told here, would translate something like "moto-thieves" , it is allowed to crush them with the car when you see them.
