BMW brings i4 at the same time as iX

BMW is testing the electric double whammy: the i4 will launch in November at the same time as the miracle of iX technology. While one serves primarily as a technological spearhead, BMW now also wants to gain volume with the i4.

Not a fan of him but that looks so much better, mostly because of the headlights.

You must be joking..that render looks so bland, a plain mix between i8 and G30. I strongly prefer the new front as it will most likely age better.

I am all for progress but this looks like a butchered G20 interior. I look forward to seeing next gen BMW inteior that have better integrated infotainment screens.

I used the configurator in Switzerland and Brooklyn grey is only available for the M50, the standard version only offers skyscarper grey, so i guess they made an error there.

I find this a bit confounding, but I don't hate the front as much on the i4 as I do on the 4er.

Different grille + front bumper does wonders.
Look how much better the lines on the front of the i4 are compared to the M4, particularly around the headlights.

The headlights on the M4 look weird because of the sheetmetal around it, as the lights themselves are identical to i4.

What also helps is the lower part of the bumper on the i4 being black, making it appear like the grille is semi-floating which imo makes it overall less massive/beaver looking compared to the 4er/M4.

But all this is meaningless next to the design ruining hood shutline.

Karim Habib is beating BMW at their own game. The dashboard of the new Sportage could be mistaken for a BMW interior with big screens that are more harmonious with the rest of the design. The Kia Sportage even has temperature dials for both from occupants.

I highly recommend the newest Insideevs podcast. The i4 faced a pretty negative comments. It’s very uninpressive to know more details behind that lame ICE revamp.
Dissapointing from a brand that started it with big balls introducing the i3 and i8 a decade ago, creating a separate enginers team to build a completely revolutionary tech piece.
Even though the iX won’t be a technological hit in 2022-23, it’s growing on me, but despite the claimed range the i4 would fit before the first i-branded cars were even inteoduced back then.

It seems BMW and MB are hite behind the top EV offerings in the market right now.

That is a single site/publication, in all those that I read, of all recognized publications, it received high praise as competent, luxurious and with all the attributes of the brand's cars.
