Take a bigger car if you want more space. First of all, BMW’s have never been the roomiest in their class and secondly I don’t
think a Model 3 is much bigger inside. Personally I don’t like the lack of a mid-console in BEV’s. I have sat in the iX which doesn’t have one either and that is one of the things I disliked the most. It’s like sitting in a utility vehicle. i4 is a BEV I could actually see myself owning. Has some great colors and wheels available as well.
Totally inappropriate comparison with the space of the Model 3. Maybe the next generation of the i4 in seven years would be capable of comparing to the 2017 Model 3.

To get a bigger car than a 3er just because I’m tall??xD

Model 3 isn’t a big car, but it has enough of space, along with the Ioniq 5 which makes the i4 obsolete right from the start.

Different league, but I can recommend you to take a sit in a VW ID.3 to understand what a dedicated EV platform does to gain space even in the back seats. Beeing smaller than the i4 I had a lot of free head room and no problems in the back.

You mean the other way around in terms of build quality and fit and finish?

No thanks. ID.3 bores me to death and I’m not overweight. The i4 would fit me perfectly.

Fit and finish won't lead you to the destination you are travelibg to. To improve fit and finish is a metter of several hundred millions, to improve battery technology, motor technology and AI are needed tens of billions.

BMW expertly left out the weight out of all the specs it released. C&D says 4800-5000 lb. Since the rest of the figures matches the official figures I am guessing it is probably not too off.

Question is why Tesla didn’t invest a couple of hundred million for better fit and finish out of those tens of billions they received. I prefer my cars not to fall apart when travelling.

Because Tesla do not care what you prefer. They have their target audience and prioritize what is important to them.

Strangely in the C&D sheet is written permanent magnet motors but BMW claims electrically exited, which is exactly the opposite.

So is this high weight something we can expect on all of BMW's flexible platform vehicles or is that just an i4 deal? I'm still reeling over how heavy the Hummer EV is so the weight of this car didn't even register as a surprise to me.
