Sorry, but in French it is "chic"
Chique is a piece of tobacco which is chewed. Nothing to deal with cars, I am affraid!

Since I'm moving interstate in April, I definitely think I'll sell the 7 Series and 3er and upgrade to a 535i and a new facelift 335i coupe. I hope both are available in Australia around that time?
The 7 is more elegant and a stunning, impressive car. The 5 on the other hand could be seen as more sporty, with an even more get-out-of-the-way face. In the flesh, I prefer the 5 for its more athletic looks. As for the 7er vs 5er, that's really hard. So far (I haven't seen the new 5er yet obviously) the F01 7er is the most stunning BMW saloon ever created. My jaw drops every time I see one, still.
"When DSC is fully de-activated, an electronic limited-slip differential comes into play in vigorous driving. By judicious application of the individual rear-wheel brakes, DSC simulates the effect of a traditional mechanical limited-slip differential. This has the effect of better apportioning power between the two rear wheels and thus improving traction in this driving situation."

Unfortunately for me it looks obvious, it felt like looking at a super model with chest hair!... And the photos posted by Mii, no one going to see the differences, they are too small to notice unless they look extremely carefully.
Remember the first purported leak F10 brochure photo? I happened to prefer F01 7er bonnet line above headlight (with additional bonnet crease above headlight similar to X1). The wave-like bonnet line kind of stepping into the territory of 00' Infiniti I30 IMO.The "squashed effects" contributes to very aggressive predatory crouching pose. The change you've suggested would make the care more alert - like the 7er - not more predatory aggressive looking.
The example I showed below should be clear to you, thanks Klier for the explanation on previous post.I agree with this too. I still don't see what Mii is trying to show in photochop. Maybe he should circle in red, as I don't notice any difference.
With those changes, it works for 3D as well. It retains the shark-nose posture while streamlines headlight shape better with design. Take the the original F10 5er design art work for example, you will notice the straight bonnet line above headlight that followed the BMW tradition, namely E34, E39, and so on. In case of E60 design, it's a different design language with longer arch-form of upward curve corner light design which fits well in E60 but not in the case of F10. The new F10 headlight shape design didn't go well with wave-like bonnet line while corner light curved downward. Both solutions only work in 2D pictures.
Take this pic for example. If you look at the light on the right side in the pic, you can see that the little wave in upper part of the headlight creates the effect of the headlight being wrapped around the car. Like E60, but way less extreme. It's a very nice detail imho:
As for that other change, I definitely understand what Mii means, but I think it would compromise the shark nose effect

The IRL shot evidently showed even tougher and cleaner stance with straighter bonnet line. The bottom line is all about preference really. In any respect, the F10 bumper definitely needs M-sport pack as it did to E92/E93 LCI IMHO.

Thanks. I see you point. I just don't like the straight hood-line in the front giving the box lid appearance to the hood.
Notice how Nissan gave a curve to hood line on the new Maxima so it does not look like a box lid. Also it does not interferes with body creases as is the case with F10 5-series where it cuts the creases 4 times.

Original F10 design art work with straighter bonnet line for reference.

Your wish is my commandHere's a black one, from the BMW Blog:

I see the parts where excessive horizontal headlight housing exposure if convex curve had been in place. That was also one of the concern if BMW had applied concave curve to hide headlight eye brows (white portion) from over exposure for the sake of masking instead from the design perspective as it was shown in the original design artwork. The neutral straight bonnet line above headlight works well without much effort to rebalance other flaming surfaces or creases on the hood, and with such design, it will test against time, even as you see some of the classic BMW models as refreshing as they are today.... Yes, the could go for more neutral straight line but in that case all the other lines will have to be straighter as well to make a consistent theme. But as you can see this car likes the more curvy organic lines.![]()
When you'll see the car IRL you'll realize the headlight cluster design fits in perfectly, and the flow in design is so natural & consistent & coherent any change would be totally redundant. ...
