F10 5er Front End Analysis

But doesent it look squashed in the front..??

I belive it needs a M package..to get a deeper chin..and a fatter front..to match the fat rear

It takes longer time for some people to realize it! It's actually unfortunate for some of us who see into detail instantly so we become harder to please when new model or style unleashed. As I mentioned in another thread, the nose line and bonnet lines above the headlight contributed most of the disproportional effect, in your impression "Squashed Effect", especially viewing from two front corners of the car. The more IRL pictures people see from 3 dimensional angle, the more they will notice the flaws. I agreed and hope M-sport package and M5 to address the frontend or I'll hold for LCI model.

Here is the example chop with bonnet line raised straighter instead of wave-like and nose crease closer to the headlight. The net effect helped a bit on the "Squashed Effect" in the front but far from perfect. Regardless, the front has to be improved.

yep..that helps it..as the metall arcs upwards around the lights in your ps..
And it presses down towards the light in the real picture.. to further enhance the squashed face..

But i think the real sollution is a chunky deep chin..

Even then it might not be solved because the whole face is narrow..the grill is wide and narrow..and so are the lights..

But the good part is.. most people arent botherd by this..so they will buy it..love it..and it will be a great sucess..
But for me personally.. i say Flawed..

The new E-class have weird angles (or flaws whatever its called) as well, doesn't stop people from loving the car. The new 5-series is the most appealing package in the segment. E60 has a lot more flaws than the new 5-series but it didnt stop people from buying the car. F10 looks way more elegant and complete than E60 did.
And the photos posted by Mii, no one going to see the differences, they are too small to notice unless they look extremely carefully.

The "squashed effects" contributes to very aggressive predatory crouching pose. The change you've suggested would make the care more alert - like the 7er - not more predatory aggressive looking.

Ive always liked 5ers... I had high hopes for this one..
I liked the old one very much ( m package)

Pre-orders for the new F10 in EU have surpassed intial pre-orders for the E60 back in 2003. The response since being unveiled on November 23rd has been excellent both by the media and customers.

The ongoing press launch which so far has lauded the car with praise will also be a factor within the next few months when the car is integrating into the market.
