8 Series (G15) [Official] BMW 8-Series Gran Coupé (G16)

The second-generation of the BMW 8 Series consists of the G14 (convertible version), G15 (two-door coupe version) grand tourers, and G16 (four-door "Gran Coupe" sedan version) executive cars (E). The G14/G15/G16 generation has been in production since 2018, and is often collectively referred to as the G15. It replaced the F06/F12/F13 6 Series lineup. Production: 2018-
The M8 GC might change your mind.

What do you think of the new 8er in general? I think the cabrio might be the best looking, which is a complete opposite of last gen (I thought the F12 was the worst looking of the family).

I love the new 8er coupe. Mean looking in black. But I still prefer the 6er's interior.

Indeed, I am NOT AT ALL BIASED !!

Except...maybe...just a little bit...when it comes to Porsche. And that's simply because Porsche IS THE BEST ! Always has been, always will be. And THAT'S A FACT because...well...because I SAY SO !

Now that I've presented factual evidence, we can relax, reflect and pray for world peace. And maybe worship the 992 and Taycan while we're at it.

You know @Jimmy I’ve been wondering why you haven’t received an ‘old’ rating yet, I mean you’ve been repeating the same thing over and over again ...but then it hit me, it’s not a Mercedes Benz.
Jimmy is definitely not a Mercedes fanboy lol

...although I've often been left absolutely smitten by a number of specific models over the course of the years. The C219 CLS, for example, genuinely blew me away. As did the C215 CL, the W129 SL, the W126 S-Class, the W111/112 220SE-280SE 3.5 2 doors, the original 300SL "Gullwing" to name a few.

Cayenne I?

I actually didn't find the Cayenne I THAT bad. It just took quite a while to get used to-or the concept of Porsche building an SUV took getting used to.
I can't say that the series I Typ 986 Boxster impressed me much. The series II 987 series was a significant improvement. At first, as a 15-16 year old lad, I didn't like the 914/4 (The "VW-Porsche"). I thought that it had the charisma of an ashtray. But then came the 914/6 in various iterations, the 916 (less than a dozen built) and the 914/8 (only 2 built-one for Ferdinand Piech, one for Ferry Porsche).

I read the post like this (not that I'm on the same opinion):
1.MB fans do not tolerate any criticism on their favourite brand
2. BMW fans are more noble and do not use the rating system to stress their fanboysm.

Maybe I did misunderstood

The 8GC seems to be very colour sensitive. In darker colors it hides the excessive bulk of the rear trunk but it doesnt look good in lighter colours where that over designed rear end is fully exposed for criticism. I like the coupe and cabrio better than the GC.

Bingo! Cabriolet for me so far. Going to see the GC soon though.
