I agree that house looks great ....how would you rate the 8GC compared to the 6GC?

Tough one. Clearly it's more premium and luxurious, but I did like a lot the proportions of the 6GC.

Regardless, it's a good car and would be my personal choice over the 8er Coupe. Plus, loved driving the RWD version. Much more agile.

You’re echoing much of the press that’s driven the 840i GC thanks for your input, much appreciated. I have no doubt it will be a success for BMW.

I also find the cabriolet the 8er of choice (should one consider the 8er).

The M8 Gran Coupe will debut in the U.S. with a limited Launch Edition model (pictured above). The company says it will offer just 50 examples finished in Diamant Green metallic paint with bronze accents and exclusive 20-inch wheels. No word on pricing for the Launch Edition model, but the standard M8 Gran Coupe will cost $130,000 (not including the $995 destination fee), and the quicker M8 Gran Coupe Competition will cost $143,000. Production kicks off in November.

The car is growing on me. By the way another proof that advertised horsepower means jack $hit when it comes to M, AMG and RS. Despite being bigger somehow it can pull the same numbers as the 2 door coupe.

The wider track and flush fitting wheels certainly benefit the visual appearance of the M8 GC versus its' non-M siblings. Jettisoning the front wing vents in favor of something far more subtle would have been quite advantageous as well.

Agreed! No mixed feelings about the M8GC.

The rear end (3/4 view) looks better in M8 guise than the regular models, but still I am not totally convinced by the looks of the GC. The regular coupe and convertible are stunning in comparison which was the opposite of the previous 6 series models where the GC was the beauty in the line up. The interior of the M8 GC is fantastic, I really dig the seats and door panel leather patterns.
