We are about to have a full info dump on The 8 as it approaches its official auto show premiere at the Mondial l'auto. So we get a better breakdown of everything about the car.
The same goes for the Z4. My e-mail list suggests September it's going to be a big month for BMW.

The only issue I have is that everything that is being shown are M850i's or 840d with M Packet. Have yet to see the standard model in the wild or for the public which owes more to the actual concept.

In this case though, it's not debadged. It's been photoshopped from the photo, which is a bit bizarre.

I can't accept that color on the 8-Series as I too strongly associate it with the orange 1 and 2 series.
