Holy s, that's absurd, I know individual is expensive but that costs as much as a used car.

Not every individual colour is so expensive. You can get an individual one for 2300 €. This are 1320 € more than a standard metallic colour.
There are different offers. First the official individual offer for each range.
Then you can order a colour which is official only available for an other range. Or you choose a non-BMW colour.
So you have different surcharges.

It's sounds a little more involved than just being an individual paint colour though... I guess this is the cost of having BMW to something slightly custom in their factory, rather than using the aftermarket...

From BMW;

Due to the unique application process, creating a special light dark effect, Pure Metal Silver is BMW Individuals most exclusive paint job available. It’s silk skin and high metal brilliance reflect light more intensely than any other color. Responsible for this unique metal gleam is the combination of a special effect pigment with a water base paint system. Hundreds of thousands of ultra thin aluminum flakes guarantee a uniform and gleaming surface. Painting a vehicle in this color is extremely delicate and requires a lot of detailed hand work. The vehicle is completely removed from the regular production processes and the surface of the car is checked three times until the surface is 100 percent perfect. After the paint preparation the chassis is carefully examined where any uneven elements are smoothened by hand. To achieve the Pure Metal Silver look the chassis needs a glossy and smooth surface utilizing a Glacier Silver Metal base coat. One more surface check is completed prior to the application of the final coating. After cleaning the vehicle with compressed air, Pure Metal Silver is applied. The finishing specialist polishes and examines the vehicle one last time by hand before the chassis leaves Plant Dingolfing’s paint shop.

Think of it as BMW's equivalent to Alubeam. Which costs around the same for application. Have not seen it offered lately has it been withdrawn for environmental reasons?

Sounds very special, do we have more iRL pics ?

Although this is 99.9% better executed than most of the cars out there (Audi and MB) where you can see the ground. I'm still disappointed that you can see the exhaust pipes from the tips.... The new 5 series seems to have better exhaust intergration.

M760Li xDrive sells tons better than regular versions of previous Mks 760i(L) ever did. It's still a very much niche product within 7er range but compared to the previous Mks 760i versions it's a smash hit! BMW V12 customers have obviously appreciated the performance value of 760i model not its intended & sheer luxury value. And with G12 M760iL xDrive that wanted performance value is now clearly communicated & available.

Absolutely spectacular. One of the finest cars out there and BMW's best looking sedan in a very long time.

Recalls for new max-tech models are to be expected. But this one..... Shew!
"BMW is again recalling its M760i over an oil leak. The 601-horsepower V12 might leak oil on the front brakes, which can cause a crash."

Second recall along the same lines. First time they said it was to do with the crimping and attachment of the oil lines to the oil cooling radiators, this time they say may be the wrong pipes.

I suspect the issue arises because the oil coolers are located in the front left and right cooling ducts in the lower area of the front bumper, ahead of the front wheels. I'm guessing that the outflow of air from the oil cooling radiators flows into the wheel arches in some way, perhaps as part of the air breather arrangement.
