So it would seem like the tips are connected to the exhaust. The tips are not connected to the bumper but the exhaust. I really appreciate BMW for doing that it's genuine. Small details like this remind me why I prefer BMW.

I'm not sure if this is the case on the version with the M packet/squared off exhaust tips too....

This is Benz solution ,no actual connection to the exhaust and tips. Other manufacturers are doing it as well but this looks really cheap.

BMW took the time to mold their exhaust and tips into the same shape much more elegant solution.

I'm actually still not convinced. That diagram still doesn't show how the tip attaches to the exhaust, even though its clearly a separate part. I look forward to finding out once I see a disassembled bumper in a live photo.

It really didn't look like it was connected when I took a look at a G30 last week. It looked more like what BMW used on the F01:

Either way, I like BMW's tips better than Benz's.

Yes, this are cloth seats. It's a company car so the MT-user had to attend the company rules.

I see what you mean hopefully more pics will surface, but BMW seem to have done a much better job at intergrating the exhaust and tips.
