Is it that time of the month again? Mercedes fans seems to be collectively PMSIng.

I am not for silly niche vehicles usually, but I like 4 GC, to me, it is a good looking sedan

with the practicality of a hatchback liftgate.

really, what is there not to like? It is not even ridiculously priced like a 6 vs 5. 435i is only $2k more expensive than a 335i here in US. Till BMW makes a M3 wagon, I am looking forward to a M4 GC.

BMW rules out an M4 Gran Coupe
Company cites production issues and low demand
BMW M GmbH's Jörg Bartels has revealed the company has decided against building an M4 Gran Coupe.

Speaking at the Australian launch of the M3 sedan and M4 coupe, Bartels told Carsguide "It was definitely considered, but there is no plan to build an M4 Gran Coupe.”

While an M4 Gran Coupe seemed like a given, Bartels said the company didn't expect the model would be a big seller. He went on to say the "4-Series Gran Coupe is built in a different factory to both the 3 Series (sedan) and 4 Series (coupe), so there is a lot of challenges there.”

The news is unfortunate but buyers can still opt for the M3 which features a 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder engine that develops 431 PS (317 kW) and 406 lb-ft (550 Nm) of torque.

Normally they wait until market establishment before evaluating potential and demand.

Although if the standard Gran Coupe sells like ice cream on an extremely hot day then they will find the means to make an M4 Gran Coupe work.

Hello to the forum, that is my first post here!
Does any one know, and that goes to SCOTT27 mostly, if there is any plan from BMW to put a 1.6lt engine into production of 4 gran coupe?
I guess 170hp will be ok for this car...
