What a stunner!! Maybe their best Touring yet.

People are suffering. People are dying. Entire Kombi’s are collapsing in favour of SUVs . We are in the beginning of a mass extinction of the Kombi as we know it.
And all you can talk about is the 3er Touring and it’s fabulous spacious interior of eternal growth.
How Dare You!!!!

This new 3 Touring looks fantastic, even better than the saloon and the best Touring ever.

Is the new BMW 3 Series Touring estate as good as the excellent saloon? We drive it in 320d xDrive M Sport spec in the UK to find out...

Verdict - 5 stars

Our top compact executive car adds another string to its bow with the introduction of this new Touring model. The BMW 3 Series has always been a fantastic all-rounder, but the added practicality offered by an estate bodystyle only adds to its appeal. Great to drive, cheap to run and filled with high-tech kit – this is Bavaria at its best.

New AMS magazine has comparison with 320d Touring vs Audi A4 40 TDI Avant vs Mercedes C220d Tmodel vs Volvo V60 D4.

@DeDe or @Laurent T do you blokes have the scan of this test? Much appreciated guys thanks.

Saw a lovely F31 3er Touring today. It made me weep that we don't get the ever more gorgeous G21. Stupid crossovers ruining us in the States from getting one of these beauts.

Yup, us Touring fans are equally deprived down here in SA. It's a bloody shame because I'd buy a G21 320d to replace my F30 without hesitation.

I mean I thought they were only available with laser, yet these here are clearly full LED since there are no blue accents.

I decide to look at the German configurator (as these are German registered) to resolve this.

The M340i comes with LED headlights as standard, and with that you get the little underbrow DRLs. The first option is to have adaptive LED lights with the cornering function, and they in fact have slightly longer underbrow DRLs. The second and final option is LASER lights, which include the cornering and adaptive function and also the ICON DRLs.

So, as far as I can see the only way you can have the ICON DRLs is if you specify the LASER option.

If you look at the photos you can see they do have the blue insert in the lights. It's just very hard to see.

^^
No icon headlights = No buy

I don't like the tear eyes DTRL. They looks low end.

It's funny, I actually prefer the look of the "mid-range option" adaptive DRLs (there are actually three types of headlights). The standard non-adaptive LEDs. Adaptive LEDs. LASER lights. All have completely unique DRLs. The Portimao Blue 3 Series above has the base lights. Look how the DRLs are different to the green one.
