I really really like this!

I liked the previous headlights, but the bumpers were a mess. This is now IMO one of the best looking BMW's in the line up. There's a return to a level of maturity in design that has been lacking in most of their new models.

As @Sunny has already pointed out, it's a damn shame the M3 doesn't have this face. That would be one classy super saloon.

Completely disagree -- I find the current M Sport front end absolutely perfect. The lines are harmonious (there is like a whole subtle grid of diagonals and horizontals matching each other); the overall design is still quite organic versus cold soulless machine (headlights and main intake look like actual eyes and mouth, muscular curves...); it has character and charisma but remains slightly understated; i.e. it looks like a classic feline BMW (E38, E39 and E46 also come to mind).

The LCI I think looks vulgar and simplistic as if carved with an an axe out of a block of wood in comparison.
How does this look understated?

I think that looks fabtastic. Only if M3 had that face instead of the f#ck face it has now.
To be honest the new bugs bunny face is grown on me... and right now I like a lot more than the "normal" horizontal kidneys.

The cup shaped corona rings have always been an analogy to the eye iris below the pupil. Flipped upside down (or rather downside up), they now look like eye sclera -- like a cat whose forehead skin you'd pull backwards to bare the whites of the eyeballs.

These analogies are just too much.

I like the execution of the M3 as it is.

I like the idea, and very much dislike the execution.

It seems to me that these two renders have a different shape for the kidney grille. The one with the chrome trim seems to be from the 5 series lci whereas the one with the black trim is from the current pre-lci 3 series. I wonder which way it’ll be on the actual car. Does anyone know? I for one would prefer the 5 series style grille

BMW design doesn't know their elbow from their arsehole it seems. They have effectively given their 'Halo' model a face that has now been dated by the LCI of the cheaper variants.

And yet the current M3 will likely sell as much as all the other combined. In other words, they don't what internet warriors and social media wannabes think of the face of the M3.

My personal take on the M3 front: it's disgusting. Simply don't like it at all.

My personal take on the 3er facelift: clean, and better looking than before. The new light graphics look cool and I am just happy to finally see the eyebrows fade away: we've had them since the E65 7er for crying out loud! New front bumper looks excellent as well!!
