I wonder if BMW will do the same dual exhausts on each side for the next 320i also

Well done BMW with G20 3er! Both exterior and interior looked top notch.

It seems BMW refined quite a bit on 330i model line, from dual pinion steering to technical update B46 engine. The dual round exhausts are nicely integrated on both standard and M-Sport models. Wonder why BMW had to change that in M340i (trapezoid exhaust housing)? 330i is also getting low-friction dual-pinion rack steering from X3 M40i, while M340i keeps belt driven APA-style steering? 330i front/rear (62.3"/62.9") track widths are also wider than M340i (62.2"/61.8") respectively. And not so sure about that Louis Vuitton kidney grill interpretation on M340i!

This article seemed to suggest 330i will steer better than M340i?

Maybe because it will be less corrupted than the M340i which has AWD vs RWD.

Without having seen one IRL yet, I have to say the G20 seems to embody perfectly what sports sedan means. Perfect blend of stance, elegance and personality.

And, at least in Spain, prices are quite competitive (a 330i costs the same as an A250).

The design is truly marvelous. Elegant, dynamic and still understated. I am looking forward to the first reviews. :)

The LCI 3er will probably bring a M345i. Next generation 3er an electrically assisted 6 cylinder M350i, don’t think will see a V8 in a 3 series again.

Each generation has increased the number after the 3 before the big daddy M3 ......E30 325i, E36 328i, E46 330i, E90 335i , F30 340i , G20 M345i and Mxx350i.

Some exceptions for markets like SA where we got the E30 333i and other European markets got a E36 330i but generally that’s the trend.

When LCI debut I expect all engines in the 3 Series to be mild hybrids. Jaguar have already gone down that route with the new Evoque and face-lifted XF.

Most likely, the new 7er would have launched with the 2nd generation 48V system which could find its way to the LCI 3er.

Hm. Don't think so. As far as I understood Fröhlich, BMW is going for mild hybrid system in the form of 48 Volt boardnet and alternator integrated into transmission (partnering with ZF). That means no mild hybrid for cars with manuals ... and I do expect that there are G20 with manuals even after LCI. Additionally Fröhlich said til 2025 they have the system available for all combustion engines ... when is the G20 LCI? 2022/23? So at this point BMW even hasn't available the mild hybrid system for all engines ...

We're missing a potential LCI model - 335i from 330i. I4 @ 302hp 332 lb ft of torque. This gives the entry 3er a sub 4.9s 0-60 performance.

Any news about future small engine with enough power like F30 320i ed/1.6cc/170ps ? For some countries due registration taxes, small engines are preffered. The base of F30 series engine was 318i/3 cylinder 1.5cc/136ps but lacks power. In competition will be new engines 1.3cc from Mercedes about 136/163ps

There is 1.5 litre, three-cylinder petrol engine for other end of line-up in G20 according to Evo.

If the 1.5 litre performs as F30 LCI 318i model ,with bad acceleration ,noise and bad real fuel consumption,it's bad point for a new car.F30 LCI 318i did bad sales against Mercedes C class/CLA with power 156ps
