1 Series [Official] BMW 1-series M Coupe

The BMW 1 Series is a range of subcompact executive cars (C-segment) manufactured by BMW since 2004. Positioned as the entry-level model in BMW range of products, the first generation was produced in hatchback, coupé and convertible body styles.
New video from AdvEvo. :)

//Oh, right sorry, have been away a while and didn't notice that it's already two weeks old and already here

People would buy this car even if wasnt limited. Personally I wouldnt care at all. A car is only exclusive if its less than 200 and 1M was sold more than that around the world. I dont see the problem to be honest.

BMW could, if they wanted, release another engine for the car .. Diesel is very popular in Europe. :t-cheers:

I'm starting to miss my 1M after your video against the CSL :t-drive:

AdvEvo have you ever driven a LP560-4 on the Ring ?
I'm planning to go there after I get my car.
Are slicks allowed ?
And can you give me few tips about this track on PM :)

I have driven my GT3 on the ring and i have driven a lambo on the road. No full slicks allowed. Semi slicks are allowed.

If you have never driven the ring just be careful and start slowly. Don t try to follow faster drivers/cars start off easy en enjoy.

Pretty savage blasting by Randy Pobst.

RANDY POBST'S IMPRESSIONS

On handling...
"The 1M is an improvement on the 135, which I've spent some time in, but NOT my favorite car. In fact, I hate this car. It won't turn. The thing I didn't like about the 135 was its mid-corner understeer, its reluctance to turn once it was in the corner, and the 1M still does that. And it's the primary thing I remember after driving the car. That it is very lazy on turn-in."

On the transmission...
"The shifter is slick, and light. I really enjoy that. You gotta do it just with your fingertips. If you try to muscle it with a fist, you're gonna get the wrong gear."

On the seats...
"I like the seats a lot, very comfortable and supportive, except...too high. I'm a tall guy; this reminds me a lot of the older Volvos or Range Rovers where they mount the seat really high so you can get a good view. Which is great, but I'm tall, I'm already high. I want to be down in the car. And I couldn't lower the seat enough, and I just felt like I was sitting on the car, not in the car, which I'm not a fan of."

On the steering...
"Steering, relatively slow ratio, which I actually like because I think everyone turns in too fast. I've always liked BMW for building that into their cars. I just didn't like what happened with the handling as I turned the wheel, there was just not enough response entering the corner. And braking hard made it worse. A lot worse. I mean, that car would go straight if I was in the brakes very hard at all. So, I found it very disappointing."

On the engine...
"The engine is smooth, the power is reasonably good, but in today's world, that's not a fast car. I'm telling ya, it is not a fast car in today's world. Maybe because I've just spent too much time in 500-horsepower cars."

Overall...
"It's almost like it was built by safety engineers. But only until you get on the power, and then, getting on the power, it's not really good at putting the power down, either. I'm just not impressed with this car. I like the M3 so much that I find the 1M to be very, very disappointing, though the M3 understeers too much, too. I think the lawyers are running the handling department at BMW right now, and they don't have to. Just make it handle like the 1988 M3 did -- that car was perfect. You know, I hate to pick on what is obviously overall is a pretty good car, but in today's world there are not very many cars I hate...I hate this car."

For such a flamboyant little car this brown just kills everything that was exciting about it's looks. Not for me that's for sure.

Sepang looks better on a big sedan imo, like M5.

Wish I saw one of BMW's blue colors on the 1M!!

CRACK! He's on crack I swear to God.
Guys, NEVER, EVER buy that magazine anymore. These 'journalists' are beyond retarded.

A guy who makes his money by writing about cars hates the 1M. LMAO. LMFAO.

In order to have it done this particular customer paid four times as much as BMW charge for specialist paint, as Leipzig and indeed the 1er are not available for exclusive BMW Individual options most of the cost went into the logistics to get it done.

That just shows to me that BMW knew this colour didn't work and put every barrier possible including excessive costs to the customer to stop it happening. But this guy ignored all that was holy and went ahead regardless. :eusa_doh:

Fact of the matter is that all along BMW and M said individual colours cannot and won't be done.

There's a lot of pissed off 1M owners out there.

Resale could be either a dream or a nightmare... given the fact that there should be no other colours than the three, I'd say a single, odd, ugly and tasteless car could be a quite a bit more valuable than the rest in the long run. Me, on the other hand, would pay about as much less for a brown 1M as I would for a Nordic Gold 997...

I can't help thinking that they never offered a blue 1M because they were saving Monte Carlo and Estoril Blue II for the F10 M5 and F30 M Sport launches respectively. I'd have had either of these over AW, VO and BSM in a heartbeat.

What I find particularly disappointing is that Valencia Orange isn't even unique to the 1M any more. It's now available on the F20 1 Series.
