I dunno seeing it in motion like that makes it look funny. Maybe it's the color. Still has some of that FWD/Frog profile from the previous car in that video. The front end looks heavy/massive, more befitting for the upcoming Flying Spur.

I'm not as smitten by this car as everyone else in this thread for those reasons. You wouldn't see me turn one down though! :)

Yeah I gotta see it in person now. I think the Flying Spur will look better regardless because of the extra body length.

What I feared would happen - they made the wheel wells too big, so the standard 21' look small. This means people are going to have a field day fitting GTs with 24'-26' aftermarket wheels with rubber band tires.

The wheel offset is also not that great. The first thing that's needed is wheel spacers, so the stance is improved. Little details, I know.

VAG needs to relax a bit with the big rims - the RS7 and S8 will be riding on 22's also.

Indeed.

Anything under the 21" rim options leave the new A8 appearing "underwheeled" and narrow-tracked. I trust that this will apply to the new A7 Sportback as well.

Then again, I imagine that anything over the 22" rim option would look cartoonish. And silly.

I love it. Bentley’s first true winner under the VAG umbrella.

The right size for these huge cars. As long as they also have enough rubber and such. 20” is too small, and 23” probably too big... the margins are narrow.

I am amazed by the pics posted here. I needed to do a catch up with this car.

Probably the best looking coupe on the market.

I can only see the 8er being able to dethrone it.

Lets wait for the two door Panamera (not only because its on the same platform). 8er is a class below.

Recent rumours indicate the possibility of a 2 door 2+2 version of the upcoming Mission E rather than a 2 door Panamera coupe.

Isn't the 2 door version of the Panamera Coupé... the 911?

Certainly a valid argument. And with the new Bentley Continental GT, a Panamera II 2 door coupe could be considered superfluous.

As much as I'd like to see a 928 revival, I would think that a Mission E-based "929" 2 door 2+2 EV GT would be a far more viable proposition. It would coexist far more comfortably with the 911 Carreras as well methinks.

Totally. Spec a 911 right and it's a comfortable daily driver whilst retaining it's peerless handling characteristics. I don't see anything exciting in two door Panamera unless weight is significantly reduced.

...and I can fold my slightly under "statistical average German frame" into the back seat of a 991 Carrera without too much of a hassle. And remain there for distances of up to say...45 minutes...without too much bitching.

Yep...the 911 has indeed become a bonafide GT.
