Mulsanne [Official] Bentley Mulsanne

Sorta relevant.. I was impressed by this guy's collection; S63 and 991 in the driveway too. It's a shame people aren't really buying the Mulsanne... it's a very niche product in the current automotive marketplace.

It lacks the elegance of the Brooklands.

True. I don’t think any modern coupé will ever match the elegance of the Brooklands.

Though this looks nice, the 3/4 proportions are exactly the same as the Mulsamne (very long), so it looks like a chop job to even the average person.

Interior quality is quite literally the best in the world. No other car comes close to the level of quality and solidity the Mulsanne's interior has; no plastic steering wheel trim to be found here. Bentley did a superb job with this car.

Under a million, definitely agree.

The depreciation on the Mulsanne is eye-watering, I must say. I still prefer the pre-facelift exterior look though with the 5 star Brooklands wheels. Classy, yet a slight hint of sportiness. So much car for the money; tempting.

A nice one can be had for the price of a new S_Class pre-facelift, post facelift is right around the price of a extremely loaded S560 up to a S63.

The Mulsanne is quite a depression monster. 5-6 year old models with less than 40k miles on the clock can be found for a third of their list price. It's pretty shocking but a fantastic opportunity for luxury connoisseurs who could never afford a new one but can live with the odd big repair bill.

What repair bill at only 40 k miles?

It depends on whether you have married into the family of a Bentley repair specialist.

Servicing costs won’t be frightening but a hose leak or suspension rework can be VERY costly because of the lack of used spare parts and a minority of Bentley specialists. However, if you buy a £60-70k Mulsanne it would be sensible to budget £8,000/year for repairs and replacements of consumables.

I wouldn’t touch a £100k Mulsanne as the depreciation will be more costly than the potential repairs.

Last but not least, fuel consumption is shockingly bad. Expect to average less than 10mpg which makes it nearly 3 times thirstier than a diesel S-Class.
