I must say that your appreciation for the differences is rudimentary and lacking in finesse.

The execution in the A4 is far, far better in that the relationship & flow between the clamshell shutline and the swage line is consistent and coherent.
The examples you provide show so distinctly how the A4's crease is so beautifully executed. The key is the twin-edged pin-stripe design of this feature.

^ That's a car that deserves to sell so much better than it will (due to burgeoning SUV segment) despite the fact that it's logically the better car.

And, the sharpness of B9 continues to amaze me. The panel alignment so vital to making that "deep-crease" swage line work so seamlessly (ahem! paradox alert) across the length of the car is simply impressive.

Let me translate this picture for you Martin.

These sharp edges and the crease on the door mean that with the slightest door bump or fender-bender you're gonna need a whole new door and fender. Bump your B9 and you're screwed.

Am I the only person that thinks the A4 Allroad looks much nicer than the regular A4 Avant?

The higher stance, together with that nice chrome grill and black trim, gives it a much more rugged and interesting look than the boring but elegant regular A4.

Really, I think that this Allroad is one model that is not necessary. They sell this car more expensive that one regular A4 Avant with the only difference of plastic protections. And one customer can get one regular A4 Avant as attractive as this one with the option list.

I can only echo this. I also find the A4 Allroad rather superfluous and the "regular" A4 Avant a far more attractive car.

It does have a higher ride height, but not on air, that's only on the A6 Allroad. They sell well where I live, I don't see any problem with it as a range extension.

It does have a higher ride height, but not on air, that's only on the A6 Allroad. They sell well where I live, I don't see any problem with it as a range extension.

I agree. In Sweden All-Roads whether by Audi or Volvo sell very well. They are more inconspicuous than SUVs but equally as capable for light offroading.

Well that's obvious because - in defense of my awesomeness - I don't get things like that wrong.

But I am more concerned about your observations of interior spec and perceived quality. Did ya take pics there matey?
