These are the ugliest hubcaps in the history of Audi!

Btw, this one is for sale for 38.990,00 €. Is that expensive @Mick Briesgau ?

No it obviously is not.

I just went to the BMW dealership here in Holland to see the new X3 and 6er GT in real life, and they had an X3 2.0, and it costed more than 100k Euro. For reference.

Baseprice of the A4 Avant is € 33.700,- So the white one isn't completely bare. € 39.000 are circa DM 78.000,-. For that kind of money you could buy a Mercedes-Benz S-Klasse 300 SEL (W126).... back in 1991 ;)

And for that kind of money you could buy the half of Germany in 1746.

Pointless comparison.

Over the past week so have seen lots of A4 leases with the 1.4l Petrol. It might seem weak but it’s powering lots of decent sized VAG cars. It makes them cheap to buy and cheap to run.

It doesn't seem weak, it is weak. Utterly weak. Nice engine for a Polo.

This generation A4 completely missed the mark. Weak the exterior and very cold & lifeless the interior design.

Wow, that's insane. Then again it's almost 2018 and I'm still trying to get used to new cars being so expensive when extensively equipped.

It has been reported that the current A4s' facelift, scheduled for the 2019 MY, will be far more extensive than the 2004 B6-->B7 (aka "B6.2") A4 "refresh". Or that of the MY 1992 B3-->B4 Audi 80 modernization, which was also a substantial transformation.

While the current A4 sells in relatively high numbers here in its' homemarket (almost exclusively in Avant form it seems), it is a disappointment in absolute terms. It's B7 predecessor had a stranglehold on its' segment over longer periods of time. No current Audi model embodies the "no risk" philosophy more glaringly than the B8 A4. M-Bs' W/S205 C-Class has left it in its' dust.

And VWs' Passat as well as Skodas' Superb are simply "too good".

I've driven a few B9 A4s, and it's one of my favourite cars at the moment. A very nice place to spend five or six hours on the road. Is it satisfying on the twisties? No. But then who needs that from a car like this?

But then who needs that from a car like this?

Millions and millions, and that's why the BMW 3 series accounts for roughly 30% of all BMW sales every year, and why the 3 series is selling in huge numbers since the early '80s.

The question should be, "who doesn't need that in a car like this"? A braindead person who doesn't enjoy driving, that's who.

Do you seriously think the majority of people buy the 3 Series because of the way it goes round bends? I don't. I don't think the majority of people on the road have a clue what a good driving car feels like.

People buy a 3er to have some fun, yes. I seriously believe that. Today much less than it used to be, but that's mostly because now the metrosexual digital age kids have jobs and buy cars. But in the '80s, '90s and '00s? Hell yes.

Perhaps a "spiritual predecessor" of the modern sport executive sedan, I recall that this particular car never failed make my heart flutter with excitement and joy when I was afforded the occasional opportunity to drive one (thanks to a kind, generous and trusting cousin who owned two-the latter almost identical to the example pictured below). It really fit my admittedly novice definition of a "drivers' car" waaaay back in my far younger, far more enthusiastic, obsessively car crazy years.

In my country even the younger generation know that a BMW 3 series is a special car to drive compared to most other main stream cars. It's always been marketed as a driver's car and this young generation know this cause their parents drove older 3 series models and passed down it's legacy that it is a good car to drive around corners.

Great little car the 1300 and 1600 are legends. Their engines, gearboxes and handling were stand out characteristics at that time. Only electrics and some other mechanical issues let this car down

2019 Audi A4 Facelift Gets A New Look But Not Much Else

Audi has revealed the facelifted version of the 2019 A4 Sedan and Avant models, showcasing a refreshed design in line with the company’s latest products.

The changes are subtle as expected, with the 2019 Audi A4 featuring new bumpers with pentagonal contours and wheel designs, both in standard and S-Line forms.

The new front bumper also features separate openings in the air inlets that guide a portion of the airflow into the wheel housings. S Line-equipped models get a new front grille with slats in a 3D look, while a blade finishes off the lower part.

Other design differences include a pair of wide, trapezoidal exhaust tailpipes that replace the previous round ones, an RS rear spoiler on the A4 Avant and a new Turbo Blue paint finish.

The new S Line competition package adds things like Audi Sport 19-inch wheels, red brake calipers, sport suspension and LED headlights. Inside you get RS carbon inlays and black partial leather sport seats. As an option, customers can get S sport seats in Magma Red or in other colors.

Audi didn’t mention any technical differences, so the new 2019 A4 Sedan and Avant models keep their oily bits unchanged. That includes a really wide range of powertrain options, from a turbocharged 1.4-liter petrol TFSI to a 3.0-liter V6 TDI diesel, with versions running on CNG (compressed natural gas) sprinkled in between in Euro-spec models.

Pre-sales of the new 2019 Audi A4 Sedan and Avant will start in the third quarter of 2018.

Thanks, I wouldn't have known what to look for :D

New front bumper is definitely better, but overall the changes are so minimal it won't change anything...

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
