M3/M4 [Official] 2021 BMW M3 and M4 [G80 & G82]

The BMW M3 is a high-performance version of the BMW 3 Series, developed by BMW's in-house motorsport division, BMW M GmbH. M3 models have been produced for every generation of 3 Series since the E30 M3 was introduced in 1986. The BMW M4 is a high-performance version of the BMW 4 Series automobile developed by BMW's motorsport division, BMW M, that has been built since 2014. As part of the renumbering that splits the coupé and convertible variants of the 3 Series into the 4 Series, the M4 replaced those variants of the BMW M3. Official website: BMW M

Not as pathetic as the fake wannabe sounds an AMG makes. Disgusting is the word that first comes to mind. But then again, you probably like lots of gold and bling too. What can I say, tastes differ....

No they will not be. Firstly because the the cars aren't remotely in the same price class, and secondly because the discounts on an A45 are/will be be just as big, if not bigger.

But you also think you're good looking yourself, right?
If so, case closed.
Lol well i guess you find yourself ugly and you like this ugly bitch of a car .. case closed.

Admit it. The front end is growing on you isn’t it?
why are those that like the grill proud of liking it? and why do they bully others into liking it?

strange phenomena, but I guess BMW targets new customer base, the woke that can't identify themselves and need a safe space.

No. But darker colours hide it better ;) Though looks aren't everything, I should know as I bought a pre-LCI F20 LOL.

So it's good to see that all the reviews so far are overwhelmingly positive, off to a good start. And even the looks are being warmed to.

Will reserve judgement until I've seen it in the flesh for myself (Monday hopefully for End of warranty check) and long term tests have come in rather than initial ones.

Also look forward to a test drive but these cars are getting BIG and expensive.

Standard spec is very well equipped so you do get a lot more for the money but then you have to spend another £10k to get all the goodies.

0% and good discounts will certainly make it more enticing as they did with the X3M. That's at £599 with £3,500 rental.

But the size of the car on small A and B roads in the UK concerns me most. My F80 is only just manageable. You look at some of these reviews especially Joe Achilles and he's on the white lines for much of it with little room for oncoming cars.

May have to go back to an M2 in future.

MP4S or MPS4(fitted on my M140i) can make a RWD car feel AWD. You can get on the power mid-corner and even apply 30-40% throttle in damp-ish weather without traction control cutting power.

Considering the MP4S and perhaps staggered 763M 19" front and 20" rears on my F80, may well transform it. Though TBF I don't really have many issues with mine.

But no, BMW cars haven't sounded always shit either

For me, not many past/present BMW engines sound more glorious than the S65 V8 (E92 gen.) wrung out to max redline ????

So if you like to listen to industrial drills and sowing machines I guess it’s up your alley.

Lol..I'm not quite sure what you're on about here but I'm assuming this is a dig @klier et al..?‍♂️

one bmw in 70 years great!

I think if you're being honest with yourself, you'd agree there hasn't really been a boring/dull/horrible sounding naturally aspirated straight six in BMW's past portfolio.

I keep reiterating to fellow performance car enthusiasts just how brilliant these tyres are. And this is why I would really like to know where BMW's recent affinity with Pirelli's P-Zero's has come from? It seems the majority of their press cars and Moto-GP safety cars are fitted with Michellin's while customer cars come fitted with Pirelli's. Is there something I'm missing?

All round positive reviews, pity there won’t be manuals for countries outside the US if I’m understanding correctly ...probably no RHD manuals for that reason for the new M3/4 I’m guessing.

If you live in California, Dubai, Australia or a city that's warm and relatively dry throughout the year, MPSS are fine.

However if you live somewhere with seasonal weather then MP4S are the single biggest performance upgrade that you can give your M4. Wet or cold road grip under hard acceleration is belief defying. As I said before, they make a RWD car feel AWD.

Many BMW SUVs are equipped with P Zeros. I had runflat ones on my F25 X3. They rode awfully. I swapped for non-RFT P-Zeroes that cost me arm and leg. Steering directness suffered a little bit because of the softer side walls, however the improvement in ride quality and decrease in tyre roar was substantial. I was kicking myself for not swapping the tyres from day one.

Other than that, tyres on BMWs can be a hit and mis these days depending on the model, suspension and alloy choices made. Some M135i are even equipped with eco Bridgestone tyres!

f#ck No. If anything more I see it, more I hate everything about it. The bumper is f#cking ugly. The fake hood vents. The fake side gills. The fake diffuser. The gimmicky drift stuff. The slushbox and the uninspiring sound of the engine slurring through it. It is an AMG with an ugly grill. Besides the seats and the wheels, there is not one thing about it that makes me go, wow.

Because there are too many kids on this forum....

The M3 looks alot better than the M4, but both can't light a candle to the Giulia QV, its a stunning machine. The interior of the BMWs kill the Alfa.

Alfa needs to now use that new 630hp V6 from the Maser MC20 for a really all out version of the Gulia. The M3 is hot though, even the grille is becoming less objectionable over time.

I agree with every word he says, perfectly exposed arguments, it is just as he says,
the exterior and interior style are to die for and if you like the previous one buy the previous one

OK so the grill need more time but overall I like the M3. The reviews seem positive too.
Can't wait to see it in real life.

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
