Good one from Audi! Fake exhaust strikes again! Regardless, looks great inside out!
They aren’t even pretending to be fake exhausts, it’s a styling element.

According to designers, yes.Fake ones would match the overall design theme better. They aren’t even pretending to be fake exhausts, it’s a styling element.
Not to mention the badge factor. The premium is worth the privilege of being able to say:The differences clearly lie in visual and tactile - as opposed to structural - perceptions of quality. As a practically-minded person, you see value in usability over aesthetic appeal, whereas many other prefer outright style over a form-follows-function mentality. This is no different from so many other consumer-driven product industries. Aesthetically, the Q3 is considerably more attractive than the better value Skoda - inside and out.
While this is beautiful improvement on the previous model, I'm dissapointed by the lack of innovation or clever practicality features. The XC40 is very intelligently packaged. In Europe, the Q3's biggest problem will be the Skoda Karoq. It also an MQB car, has DSG, use the same new 1.5TSI with cylinder deactivation but has the following very clever features:
- Second row seats that can be individually removed for transporting bikes, gokarts or other bulky items.
- Two rails with hooks at either end of the boot + a shelf for storing small items.
- Reversible bootliner with felt on one side and rubber on the other.
- Umbrella under front passenger seat.
- Ice scraper on the inside of the fuel cap.
The Skoda can also be equipped with a digital cockpit. Interior quality is very very good with a soft touch dashboard and top part of doors. It indisputable that the Audi has more style but I'm stunned by how the extent to which VAG are allowing Skoda to step on the toes on VW and Audi. The Karoq is 30% cheaper with a like for like engine before discounts.
