A6/S6/RS6 [Official] 2014 AUDI RS6 Avant !!

I think the Audi build a Plus-version. But it's comes after when the RS6 Sedan has released(end of 2013). But I think that too, when this monster goes dynotest, then it has at least +580-620 ps. Same thing what Motortend had tested for the S8.

I think this is the best looking touring car ever. The standard A6 already looks fantastic, and so do the entire RS line. The mix couldn't be more perfect. The front is simply brutal, best in the segment, the interior is on another level. I like the straight arches are gone, this looks better. And the quattro is not bad, but I prefer the car without it.

Holy Asgard. If Thor would buy a four door car then this would be it!

Yet another awesome bullet train for a car by Audi. The A6 RS6 is hands down the most discrete performance car money can buy. Not only can it transport people and goods but it's low profile enough not to attract vandalism or too much attention. Cylinder deactivation and adjustable air suspension makes the car an even more sober choice for family men struggling to ration with their wives over buying a 100k sports car.

Thankfully the tacky quattro badge is optional and the blades can be had in carbon.

I like this new RS6! But I'm afraid that it understeers like RS4 does...
We all know about that MotorTrend test about the S8.
But I have to ask you. Can you provide us one test that tells that the RS4 B8 understeers?? In most of the tests, it actually overstears. So, please provide a link.

I'm sorry, I'm one of the biggest or perhaps the biggest fan of the A6 on the forum, but this looks sooo tacky to me. I hate the jewels headlights, the chrome blades in the bumper and specially that Quattro badge and sorrounding mini grill. Looks SO aftermarket to me :(

Initially, I thought those were watermarks on the photos. Yeah, that looks like a cheesy option, but luckily it's an option!

Black blades are much better than those chrome ones.... and no quattro logo, please. Still preffer the regular headlights than full jewel....

I´m glad Audi hasn´t gone the RS4 route with those weird lateral air intakes of the front bumper. This is just the best treatment on a RS car ever, and, IMO, the segment leader in the looks department.

The Quattro grille is nasty and oozes barryboyness and I hope they offer the choice of colour coded exterior mirror housings. I don't like the chrome splitter either.

Having said all that, I can't wait to see the tests to see what this baby can do.

^Yeah it will be interesting to see how it not only performs against it's main rivals of the M5 and E63 but also it's in-house competition the Panny Turbo S. Kind of surprised the RS6 didn't adopt the Porsche's PDK and AWD system but then again Porsche aren't the kind of kid who like to share it's toys.

-According to a source the RS6 engine uses an improved single sided intake from the S6/S7, S8 internals and turbos even better than on the S8. So this is a new version specific to RS6/7 and not just a simple "chip" tune.

That would be highly unusual for Audi. If it were a lower model it would either have a K03 or a K04. Performance engines like the 2.0TFSI usually come with a K16. Maybe your source means a slightly bigger intake pipe diameter, but the turbo's internals are probably still the same...

I also bet for bigger fuel injectors for this one over the 460hp version.

:)

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
