I think the Enzo is more of a Halo car. It's like the S-class vs. SLS or SLR.

I'm quite happy with the profile and the rear (even though the Z3 coupe was the first thing to come to my mind as well), but the I'm worried about the front.

It has a "evil-but-slightly-dumb cartoon robot" vibe going on, and I don't think I like that. :eusa_thin

Pretty much how I feel about the car. Love the rear, but front end is troubling with that wide grin grill.

Wow I love it, much better than the fugly 458, Ferrari still has hope :D 660hp, this is just crazy! Love it!

C'mon people let's show some sophistication here... This isn't a hatchback - it's a Shooting Brake: one of the classiest and most exclusive body shell types. There's a long history of Shooting Brakes being purveyed to only the most select and discerning of buyers. Something us plebs just wouldn't get.

This thing is aimed at the absolute upper echelon. It's heavy because it's not a supercar - Ferrari has enough of those.

I don`t think I`d be willing to depart with $300,000 USD for a shooting- break design. This is going to be a big problem. The specs on this car are are stunning but the design doesn`t cut it IMO. I`d rather see Ferrari come up with a sedan instead.

HoH, it's time for you to break out one of your famous haters-gonna-hate jpegs. :)

Someone once said that truly great design polarises opinion - i.e. you either love it or you hate it. I have an exquisite car design book on my coffee table by Stephen Bayley that chronicles the most significant car designs of the 20th century, if books are still around in 30 years then I'm absolutely certain that this FF would feature in a future such-like.

So, I'm glad many of you don't like... We'll see how your opinions change with familiarisation. Mark my words though, this thing is going to positively rock in real life.

i like how Ferrari used a different approach to the 4 seater coupe segment. Had they made a proper sedan a la rapide/panamera I can only imagine how people would be spilling the hatorade.

I love it and IMO better looking then the 458.

I must be high today, started with the pagani and now this, I freaking like it :)

I believe pics won't do it justice but if you think of it, it will sit low and wide, so image with a shooting brake style ...

Dumb cartoon robot? Venom finds you remark disrespectful.

Ahh I see you have dusted off your velvet spin-doctor suit and wore it while typing that reply above :D Let's call my spare Nokia handset a long range telecommunication apparatus instead of a dumb phone.

The terms shooting brake is ambiguous as the British "summer" weather. If the FF is a shooting brake then so is a handful of hatchbacks on the market like the Scirocco.

I find this to be one of the most witty posts on here in a while. But very correct you are sir. I present you with the Daily InterWebs award!
:t-cheers:

ps...how was ur bday mate?

Reaction when I first saw the pics: confused and dumbstruck.

Based on the spy pics, I knew we had a hatchback in store for us. For which, I have no qualms, as Jag can pull it off with the XK and modern-day Astons just look perfectly proportioned (albeit derivative now). However, I thought it would look more rakish in the rear than this. I, too, thought that Maserati was created to satisfy the ego while Ferrari placated the id. I had a dillemma.

But I've come around to it. Maybe it's the specs that are insanely lovely. There's so much tech in this car. And for it to have AWD at about 3900 lbs. is pretty impressive. Maybe it's that F1 sound coming out of 6.3L, screaming like some possessed f***ing banshee. Maybe it's the design that, to me proclaims that this is the first avant-garde Ferrari in quite a long time. Maybe it's my id and ego being pleased at the same time. Or maybe I'm just a brand-wh*** when it comes to a Prancing-Horse and I'm a slobbering zombie to their wares. I really don't care what the reason is, I just dig it.

BTW I've heard of snowdrifts, but this is ridiculous.
